This figure tells the story. In order to completely shift the automobile sector on the strength of electric vehicles, we must dominate the EV Battery production chain otherwise we are just going to keep making other nations the real winners. EVs can convert 60% of the electrical energy from the grid, whereas petrol and diesel vehicles convert only 17 to 21% of fuel. EVs are powered by lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries. Hence, with the increasing demand for EVs, the demand for Li-ion batteries is also set to increase. In 2021, the global lithium market was valued at $6.83 billion and it is projected to grow at an annual rate of 12 percent from 2022 to 2030. Most importantly I truly believe that the Electric vehicle production chain, from Battery assembly to EV manufacturing, will uproar the job scenario, factories set up for material processing, cell components, and battery cell production should do it. Japan and Europe Forge Partnership to Share EV Battery Data - https://lnkd.in/gAuT_UmC Apr 23 (News On Japan) - An initiative led by Japan's Information-Technology Promotion Agency has seen the signing of a memorandum of understanding in Germany aimed at mutual data sharing concerning electric vehicle (EV) batteries. The agreement seeks to facilitate the exchange of supply chain information held by automobile companies across both regions, and enhance the management of regulatory compliance and supply risks by leveraging shared knowledge of battery supply chains. By pooling and operating this critical data, both Japan and Europe are better positioned to respond to potential disruptions and regulatory challenges, ensuring a more stable and efficient supply chain for the crucial components of EVs.
