Fantastic advice around how to be concise in your storytelling, to keep people's interest. I would add that if you're a public speaker, you should have various length versions of the mini-stories that you tell when illustrating a point in your message, so you can adapt the overall length of your presentations on the fly. If you only have one version, you can't shorten it (if you find your time compressed, perhaps by a previous overrunning speaker) or expand it (if you have more time, perhaps because a speaker didn't turn up, or they love what you're saying and want more details). Being concise and punchy is definitely a good thing - but being able to flex is really useful too.

Tap into feelings that resonate and create empathy. 2️⃣ Peak Action: Move quickly into action! Showcase the decisive moments—whether it’s a success, a challenge, or a hard choice—that make your story dynamic and engaging. 3️⃣ Shrink, Shorten, and Punchy : Keep it sharp. Today’s readers want clear, powerful messages that pack a punch. Say more with fewer words. Many thanks #LinkedInTips #Storytelling #Engage
