What an honor to be in the company of our amazing 2024-2025 Career Success Faculty Fellows representing all academic disciplines and The City University of New York campuses. Thanks to Senior Advisor for Transformation and Distinguished Professor Cathy N. Davidson, Chief Transformation Officer Rachel Stephenson, and University Associate Provost Lauren Andersen for their leadership on this program. Our Fellows have pioneered effective methods of helping students understand the relationship between classroom learning and careers that can be adapted to every field. The program has two major goals: (1) Embedding more career-relevant information into courses through five high-impact areas (syllabus and curriculum revision, student support, work-based learning, employer engagement, continuous improvement & utilization of data); and, (2) Identifying faculty leaders on their home campuses that can introduce their colleagues to similar enhancements in their courses. Mia san mia.
"Last year the ranking of 36 business schools was based on scores gathered for Quality, the Reputation of the business school, and graduates’ Employment and salary prospects.
This year it is based on four criteria. The Quality category has been split into two categories, the quality of Teaching and Research performance. The other two categories remain Reputation of the business school, and Career Impact, or employment and salary prospects as well as employer opinions.
Separating this component provides greater “clarity and validity” for each pillar, making the measures “more aligned to concepts that prospective students will recognise”, Brown says.
In terms of weighting, Reputation, Career and Research each contribute 20 per cent to the final score, while Teaching carries a 40 per cent weighting.
A total of 26 individual measures were taken into account. All the domestic and international measures are publicly available."

Exciting news 🙌 - UNSW Business School has been named The Australian Financial Review Best Business School 2024.
🥂 When it happens three years in a row, it is no coincidence anymore. No humble-bragging here; I'm unashamedly proud of this collective achievement. Congratulations to all the colleagues, students, alumni and partners at UNSW Business School.
📈 We are just getting started. We will intensify our focus on new, bold ideas to shape economic growth and social progress. We will prepare students for lifelong career success and aim to stay close to them as a lifelong learning companion. We will deepen relationships with our industry and global partners to amplify our impact and continue investing in talented people because we believe that 'the people make the place'.
🌏 On a personal note, today marks exactly 5 years since we left London for Sydney. Embarking on our Australian adventure to join this formidable UNSW university was a leap into the unknown. We have not regretted it for a moment. Thank you, UNSW Business School and UNSW, for kindly welcoming and supporting us throughout these 5 years 🙏 .
