Wonky live region implementations are probably the most common (well-intentioned) error I see from developers. I recently spoke about implementing live regions more robustly at Southwest.js; this piece from the TetraLogical blog is a fantastic follow-on to give more rounded context to the alternate implementations available.

The Web needs a file format. I should be able to take any website and download it as a single zip file and be able to set it back up by just unzipping it. That's what our students in HAX Lab are driven by -- the promise of the fundamental transformation of web development into something people leverage without realizing it so that they can be creative without thinking how. Creativity flowing like water. Effortless publishing. A forever format. It's not hyperbole; it's what we're building every day.
