Self-tape vs In-person auditions are a debated topic among actors with strong committed opinions on both sides. Personally, I have no strong preference, but on days like this when I am feeling jet-lagged and possibly experiencing pink-eye, I am grateful for the flexibility of being able to audition from home. 🫠Life of a YouTuber For this week's video, I was inspired by the challenges of preparing for a 2p self-tape audition while jet-lagged with a pink gunky eye. I figured it would make for good GRWM vlog content. Surprisingly, it was relatively effortless to shoot and edit. The video still has an audition research element, but I only had to do a little research since I wasn't teaching. While editing this video, Premiere Pro kept stalling. I know the issue. I edit using content on my external hard drive, which is not an SSD, so the communication between the hard drive, the computer, and the DAW causes hesitation. Do any of my editor friends reading this think that's the issue, or could it be something else? Nonetheless, YouTube's algorithm is picking up on my channel's content. I had a few new subscribers this week, and my previous video views are growing.
