🎈Happy sweet 16 to the UK Climate Change Act 🎈 Today's the anniversary of the world's first legally binding climate targets coming into force. Like so many good ideas, the act was born in the pub. Lamenting the UK's woeful progress on cutting emissions, campaigners from Friends of the Earth devised the Big Ask campaign. And with support from the NGO and a certain bacon-butty-eating politician, the act finally came into law on 26th November 2008. The act tripled the rate of emissions reductions, according to new FoE analysis. But despite early progress, climate action has since stalled and we're at a crossroads. We have a choice: a greener, more equitable and more stable world, or fossil-fuelled chaos where the world is subject to the whims of plutocrats. Climate action has never been more important. Trump would end humanity! Educate yourself about Project 2025 Project 2025, also known as the Presidential Transition Project, is a collection of conservative policy proposals from the Heritage Foundation to reshape the United States federal government in the event of a Republican Party victory in the 2024 presidential election.[2][3] Established in 2022, the project has been most notable for how it aims to achieve its objectives.[4] It proposes reclassifying tens of thousands of merit-based federal civil servant jobs as political appointees in order to replace them with loyal conservatives to further the objectives of the next Republican president.[5] It also adopts a maximalist version of the unitary executive theory, a disputed interpretation of Article II of the Constitution of the United States,[6][7] which asserts that the president has absolute power over the executive branch upon inauguration.[3][8] Critics of Project 2025 have described this as an authoritarian, Christian nationalist plan to turn the United States into an autocracy.[9] Several experts in law and conservatives have indicated that it would undermine the rule of law, the separation of powers,[10][5] and civil liberties.[11] Wikipedia but you can also read the entire plan dark times ahead for the world 🌎 Not just the USA the Dems have no chance to win not with Biden so who will stop Trump?
