Honoured to Chair the final IA Trade & Investment Committee of 2024 hosted by The Lord Mayor following our recent visit to the GCC promoting the UK Asset Management industry. Looking forward to 2025 and the June Global Investment Summit in London as part of the Investment Management UK campaign. Thank you to all the attendees and The Investment Association for your support.

In 2024, more than £100 million worth of investment deals were made in the UK. During his term in office, the newest Lord Mayor of London, The Rt Hon. the Lord Mayor Alastair King is keen for this to increase further, and has urged policymakers and industry figures to address UK investment reforms to ensure the UK is attracting domestic and international investors. As part of this, last week Alastair joined my colleagues and I for The Investment Association's (IA) Trade and Investment Committee meeting. During the meeting we announced the launch of the #GlobalInvestmentManagementSummit2025, which will be taking place in June. This event, which we will be sponsors of at RBC BlueBay Asset Management, is a partnership between the IA, Department for Business and Trade, and City of London Corporation; and is aimed at showcasing the UK investment sector to global investors. Thank you to the City of London for hosting last week’s meeting! And I’m looking forward to next year’s Summit, where we’ll be supporting diverse conversations about investment trends, and the UK's asset and wealth management industry. 📷 Me at Mansion House with Mark Berman, Clare Bromiley-Carmen, Chris Cummings, Alistair King, Jack Knight, Richard Normington, Simon Pryke, Nick Tolchard, Emma Wegoda, amongst others.
