If you're in the middle of a job search, 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝗢𝗞 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿. The holiday season is a ghost town for job seekers. Fewer responses, longer wait times, talk about your 'Silent Night', amirite? Why does this happen? 𝘐𝘵'𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦𝘹. Many decision-makers are on vacation or wrapping up year-end priorities. But there’s some good news: 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴. Budgets reset, new roles open, and companies are ready to move fast. If you’ve been feeling the weight of your job search, this might be the perfect time to pause, unwind a bit, and prepare for the new year. Here’s how to make the most of it: 🎯 Polish your resume one last time, those January job postings come quick. 🔍 Research target companies so you're ready to crush that interview. 🛠️ Work on your LinkedIn profile, it’s your online resume superplus. 🕰️ Take the rest of December to 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦. Visit family and friends. Come January, you’ll be rested and 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗸. And happy holidays to those I won't see before then! 🎉

It's always ok to take a breather when you need it. Proper rest and recovery is an important part of overall productivity. On the flip side, be careful about taking too long of a break. Like you mentioned, January is one of the best months for hiring. Warm up near the end of December, so you can take off come early January!

Great tips Nick! Now with the Holiday's here, it's time to take a moment. To enjoy the time with our loved ones. It may feel counter-intuitive, but when you take some time away, you'll come back feeling recharged and ready to launch in January. Use some of your down time to help you prepare for January. It's time will spent!

In my personal opinion, if you need a job, it's okay to take a break for a day or 2 because you need a breather. BUT after that, get back on it. Set a schedule to do at least 2-3 applications per day. If you need a job, you have to apply.
