Objection: Everything seems fine…getting better at training doesn’t seem like that big of a deal. This actually makes sense. Training rarely pops up as a glaring need. It’s not like the leaky ceiling that needs to be fixed so you stop getting rained on. However, ineffective training has a less obvious impact on your company every single day. Sloppy mistakes, decreasing margins, disengaged employees, missed opportunities, etc. If you take the time to look, you’ll see the impact ineffective training is having on your brokerage. #freight #3pl #transportation

Ongoing training needs more attention. There are lots of reasons, but these are my three favorites: Some of the experienced reps in your office have no idea what they’re doing and could use some re-training (you know who they are). Most of your experienced reps in your office have broken away from some best practices and should have regular refreshers. Not everyone wants additional training and/or skill development, but the employees you want to keep around probably do...if they don't get it from you, they'll go somewhere else. If you don’t offer any kind of ongoing training, I guarantee those three things are causing problems if you actually look. #freight #3pl #transportation
