Goal. End of summer with the perfect sound. We're joined now by Laura McIntosh. She's got the recipe. Hello. And this is John. Laura. Laura. John. Nice to meet you. Like John. Hi, T. How are you? I'm good. How you doing, Tina? You know, you and I are like the judges of Sacramento. Why are we not judging Chile today? Because we're doing salad today, that's why. OK, that's right. OK, so here is the finished salad. I'm just gonna show you guys. OK, got a little pasta in there. Now, what's that special about the salad? Well, it sells out at Sam's Club in Costco. So I figured out a way. A friend of mine showed me how to do a copycat of this salad that everyone goes in to try and buy, and it's gone. It's simple and it's easy. So we're going to start with the dressing, and it's a basil dressing. The recipes on my website, bringingithome.com. But I wanted to show you guys. Exactly the best way to get the basil for your dressing and this is what we're thankful for. My grandmother who showed me there are little leaves, basil leaves. I'm hoping you guys can see it. She only picked the small one to use in her sauce. Now sometimes you won't have that much of the small one, but incorporate those in your sauce and you'll have great test tasting pesto weather for this dressing or on pasta. So the dressing starts this way. Basil, of course, right? In a Cuisinart. You're gonna make this eat simple and easy. We're gonna do it calls for 3 or 4 little cloves of garlic. I put in six because I love garlic. And a little salt and pepper. Here we go. And then of course, you're going to do some olive oil and you blend that up and of course, I have it already finished right here. This is like when it's done. So that's a recipe. Now. This is a kale salad. If you don't like kale, you can use a firm lettuce like a romaine. I suggest iceberg maybe, but you want a firm lettuce for this. We're going to add so many goodies in that dressing we just made is a little bit heavy. So we've cooked a little pasta and I've done some fun pasta on this one. This one is a heart shape because it's thankful. So you know, some heart-shaped pasta in here, We'll just put it right inside now. This is the basic way to do it, right? So the kale, the post, I'm going to put it all in here. We're going to need it. And then we're going to use carbs, sun dried California sun dried tomatoes. That goes right in there. And then what's beautiful about this is you use some feta cheese, you use a little bit of Parmesan cheese. And while there's your salad, simple and easy. And then this is your dressing. So you're just going to sprinkle that on top and mix now with this salad, I want to give you guys some tips because I've done this so many different ways. I've added to this because I like a little crunch. And nuts are in season, so I used this these are the best Rosemary, garlic pistachios. So I put those to get give you a little bit of a crunch. Also to you know, we grow walnuts. So I have to add some walnuts in there at the walnut farmer. And then this is also really fun. This is dried cranberries, right? See. And then the feta cheese and watermelon are a perfect combination of that little tartness in the cheese. And the sweetness from the watermelon, add that in and you absolutely have a a meal. This is a meal you can add. Here we go. I use a little different posts on this one, but you can add anything you want to do. You can chicken, you can add salmon. You could have that looks delicious. Yeah. No, it's super easy and it's delicious. OK. What are you going to teach us next? I'm gonna do a few hacks for you with baking soda and lemon to get ready for the holiday season. Ohh. OK Kitchen hacks. Lauren McIntosh and website bringingithome.com Also on Instagram. Laura McIntosh, under score BIH. Alright, I'll talk to you in a little bit. OK Alright. See you soon, guys. Dried cranberries in a salad. Me too. Me too.

This rare fruit is a must-try!
It's dragon fruit, and honestly, the texture is like boogers—gross, right? But trust me, it's delicious! It's like eating a raw shrimp or a slimy scallop. Weird but yummy.
Ever had a fruit with weird texture but with a delicious taste?
