Had fantastic time at yesterday's "Science + Pistoia: Pharma Life Sciences Biotech Network & Pitch" evening, organized and hosted by the wonderful folks from Bayer, the Bayer Co.Lab team & Pistoia Alliance. Jesus, an OG of the Berlin life sciences scene, knows how to make events fun and engaging. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect and network with some incredible intrapreneurs and professionals from Bayer who are driving corporate and Berlin's ecosystem development (shoutout to Jesus, Bettina, Sheila Elz, Jan + others I may have missed) as well as with entrepreneurial members of Berlin’s life sciences community. The evening’s theme was all about collaboration, community, and ecosystem building, which aligns perfectly with our mission at the Life Sciences Tech Network - Berlin. We’re focused on establishing strong partnerships with pharma, biotech, and nonprofits to make Berlin an even better hub for life sciences innovation. And many thanks for the invite and the opportunity to pitch last night, even though I wasn’t expecting it. It was a great exercise to be put on the spot like that! 😅 Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there! It was especially nice to see many familiar faces from the Life Sciences Tech Network - Berlin community (great to see you Felix, Divij, and Maciej to name a few) and to meet new folks interested in joining and supporting our network. It was also wonderful to meet Mel Berg 🕊 from Collaborative Drug Discovery - CDD Vault in person—our first partner who will be supporting us during our December 2024 speed networking event. Looking ahead, our 2025 roadmap for the Life Sciences Tech Network - Berlin includes initiatives to support business development, matchmaking, collaboration, and hosting exciting and valuable events for tech innovation in life sciences. Always happy to connect and support the wonderful life sciences ecosystem in Berlin — if you’d like to learn more, don’t hesitate to get in touch! Hope to see many of you again! P.S. If you're not familiar with Pistoia (great to meet you and hang out for a bit Becky Upton), they’re a non-profit alliance dedicated to lowering barriers to innovation in life sciences and healthcare R&D through pre-competitive collaboration. I highly recommend checking them out if you’re interested in life sciences tech collaboration - they have some exciting projects in their pipeline that will support a lot of important work in the near future, including initiatives in the longevity and space biology fields 👩🚀 🚀 💫
