WUI-NITY 4 report is now published, packed with information on Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) evacuation simulations. Developed through international collaboration, the WUI-NITY modeling tool now includes microscopic traffic modeling with SUMO, the k-PERIL probabilistic trigger buffer model, and a streamlined user interface. These enhancements offer deeper insights into evacuation behaviors and the impact of wildfire smoke on driving speeds. In addition, detailed VR experiments provide a richer understanding of human responses in wildfire scenarios. Additionally, the report introduces innovative social media data mining techniques to analyze evacuation behaviors, enhancing our understanding of how people react and move during wildfires. Learn more about WUI-NITY at the NFPA website. https://lnkd.in/eYmGWy68 The model will be made available for download soon. #WildfireSafety #EvacuationModeling #EmergencyPlanning #WUINITY4 #VRSimulations #TrafficModeling #FireSafety #PublicSafety
