All is not well with the nation’s financial health.
The latest ONS data paints a mixed picture of the nation’s financial health and wellbeing. The tough truths are:
- Anxiety is still high, with nearly 1 in 4 people reporting high stress levels — a trend that's been unshaken for over a year and remains well above pre-pandemic levels.
- Financially, things are tighter: Average disposable household income dipped down 2.5% from last year. Almost 1 in 4 adults say they struggled to manage financially in the past month.
We know that millions of people have no cash buffer at all to help in the case of an emergency.
As evidence shows, there is still more work to be done to help employees. By providing financial wellbeing support for employees we can work towards a brighter future for all.
