After 40 days in the Himalayas without phones or modern comforts, we've gained fresh perspective on what truly matters. Sometimes you have to step away from the familiar to see clearly what's essential. What experiences have given you new eyes to see the world differently? - Ryan & Thomas Growney #NewServiceAcademy Image description: A black and white photographic image of Marcel Proust against a blue background, with the quote "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes." overlaid in orange type against a dark blue background.

#Education-indoctrination: "a collection of the oldest images of Los Angeles, images that have survived until today", images we have been allowed to view, images doctored, altered, manipulated, changed, edited,.. somethings being omitted, what would anyone want to be exluded from discussion... -technologies-taken- https://lnkd.in/eSYFt5YE. -"Photography as we know it was invented in 1822 by French pioneer Nicéphore Niépce"- -"as we know it"- ...oh how quite believable, not, same ole "65myo-lie", but with all the "wars, plagues, famine, repeat" cycle,.. what was in all those burnt libraries, in the Smithsonian, underneath Vatican,.. in the caves of Tayos,.. what information may be missing... ...are Cathedrals just religious, are Starforts military, lighthouses just for boats, are airships dangerous, was regenerational-braking dangerous, are obelisks phallic-symbols, are pyramids graves, why was gold illegal, then expensive, is copper outdated, mercury too toxic, & why is it "helium's so rare, but fine for party-balloons",.. WHO told you this... One of my favorite things to do is to attend the lectures at the National Geographic Society. There, you can hear the stories behind the stories that make their way into the magazine with the yellow border. Writers and photographers go behind the scenes and in-depth into their stories. https://bit.ly/3U02IHN #briantarallo #visualfacilitator #graphicrecorder #visualpractitioner #visuallearning #lizardbrain

Paths of Innocence; Standing on the Brink of Unknown. Captured a quiet moment of resilience and curiosity in the everyday life of a young boy, wandering along railway tracks. My goal is to preserve these unfiltered glimpses into the lives of individuals whose stories often go untold. Each frame is a testament to human spirit, resilience, and the beauty of simplicity. This photograph to me is more than just a picture of a boy on railway tracks; it’s a story of youth, curiosity, and the human spirit. It’s a reminder of the power of simplicity, the value of nature, and the resilience that children exhibit in various circumstances. The boy, with his stick in hand, symbolizes a journey—a journey that we all take as we move through life, exploring, learning, and growing. The railway tracks may lead him to new horizons or challenges, but at this moment, he is simply present, grounded in his surroundings, with his gaze set forward. This image encapsulates the essence of childhood and the timeless themes of exploration and wonder. It’s a visual testament to the beauty of everyday life and the endless stories waiting to be told in seemingly ordinary moments. Honored to document stories that connect us all, one image at a time……..
