Big news! We're excited to share how Service Academy is evolving. While youth service remains at our core, we're expanding our focus to embrace the full spectrum of social impact — from innovative problem-solving to systemic change. Why? Because we've learned that service is just the beginning. To create lasting change, we need to empower young people to understand complex challenges and develop innovative solutions. This isn't a change in direction — it's an evolution that amplifies what we can achieve together. Whether you're passionate about traditional volunteering or tackling systemic issues, there's a place for you in this expanded vision. We lose so much when we do not value and lean on young people. 💪 They are brimming with passion, strength, agility and energy. ⏰ They have significant amounts of time and availability. 🎒 They can be humble, audacious learners, open to growing & listening. 🚀 They will try great things, fail and get back up again and not stop until they achieve their goals. Youth are a ready made volunteer movement that can be mobilized to impact our community's greatest issues. #loveyourcity #youthaschangemakers #changemakers #growingleaders #pipeline

Over the years, I have grown immensely as a result of taking out time to invest positively in my community, which has led to countless opportunities for growth and discoveries; the world of making a change does not just lie in our commitment to meeting personalized goals, as much as that sounds great and beautiful, it is important to note that it still expands towards making sustainable impact to the community building. Five years ago, I volunteered with ENACTUS AAUA, which helped me gain insights into community structure and growth; this platform made me realize how community engagement and service have the power to transform individuals, communities, and societies as a whole. Community service is beyond just volunteering; it is a massive tool for change, growth, productivity, and unity. As professionals of different fields and industries, we often have our gaze on personal goals and aspirations, which is beautiful and a milestone to take on, but there is a need to highlight and point out the transformative contribution of community service to our personal and professional development. What Do I Mean🤔? Community service works in a way that harnesses valuable skillsets such as leadership, communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and exploring the world of change with like minds, which is attributed to networking opportunities. Its benefits expand towards professional networking, social responsibility, and accountability meetings, fostering engagement and social involvement in communities. An interesting fact about community service is how real-world impacts are improving the world of health, social innovations in education, empowerment environmental sustainability, etc. Getting involved in community service procures you the stability of research that aligns with your passion and volunteering skills; embracing the spirit of service brings a stronger force that promotes personal growth, social and environmental positive change, and creating a better world for all. There are countless examples of individuals making a difference in the world of building a great community to live in; why don't you join this movement of promoting community service by just finding a niche of what you are passionate about and getting involved? Together, we can make a difference. #communityservice #togetherwecanmakeachange #communityengagement #sustainableimpacts #socialchange #SDGs #growth

Why do we accept and even applaud businesses and corporations' increased overhead, executive compensation packages, and revenue instability while simultaneously holding nonprofits to unrealistic standards? 🤔 What makes us think that those working to create positive change should sacrifice their financial well-being? It's time to rethink our expectations and recognize that investing in nonprofits—yes, including paying competitive salaries— can lead to greater impact. 💡 Thanks to Leadership Las Vegas Amelia Cooper Coby Powell Travis Turner Elizabeth Hunterton, MPA for starting important conversations. I encourage everyone to give this a watch with an open mind. Let's think about how a mindset shift may make an even greater impact. #UnCharitable #PhilanthropyRevolution

When it comes to “Storytelling, Social Innovation, and Authentic Engagement,” Audacity Group LLC offers workshops that not only inform but also empower attendees to take action! Last week, we had the opportunity to share our latest Nonprofit Burnout Report with social impact leaders as they prepare for CLLCTIVLY’s #CLLCTIVGIVE 💵 on August 9th.🎉 KEY REPORT TAKEAWAYS: ✅ Larger nonprofits have direct access to funding resources, often based on their proximity to grassroots organizations primarily led by and for communities of color. ✅ The unrestricted net assets of Black-led organizations are 76% smaller than those of their white-led counterparts. ✅ It’s important to “Believe the Stories” - while quantitative data is crucial for measuring and analyzing certain aspects of social innovation, it’s not inherently objective. Everything operates within a context and that context can only be explained qualitatively. ✅ Learning should be a two-way process. While some social impact organizations have the necessary resources to invest time in researching grants and building relationships, grassroots organizations, due to their limited resources, must divert their attention from serving those in need to compete against partner organizations. **See👀 Full Report on MyBmoreproject.com** #dionnejoynerweems #thatpart #author #globalmarketer #storyfacilitator #changemaker #ceomommy #mybmore #mymaryland 🎥:: @theboldproductions 📸:: @niera410
