Leadership is essential in every field, particularly in nursing, where we collaborate closely with patients, their families, and colleagues. In nursing, strong leadership is vital as it significantly influences patient care, promotes teamwork, and improves the well-being of both patients and staff. Effective leadership not only ensures compassionate, high-quality care but also fosters a supportive environment where everyone can excel. I also enjoy creating informative videos to educate others about nursing topics. Below, I've shared some tips on how to excel as a leader in nursing, which can be applied to any profession. #nursing #nurses #leadership

One of the things that brings me joy everyday is being closest to those who provide care to our patients, families and the communities we serve. Today I had the pleasure of rounding on the nursing units at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital with Patricia Laurie, Director of Nursing. It was obvious to me that Trish is an engaged leader who is well respected by her team as the interactions seemed very genuine and authentic. There were many positive stories shared and the pride of the team as they talked about what is working well was very evident. Thank you, Dan Carey, Anne Stewart, Patricia Lurie, Maya Vulaj, Nurse Manager 7N. Maya’s team was overjoyed to share the many ways she supports the team, patients and families. #CorewellHealth #oneteam #Nursing #Magnet5thdesignation

I recently spoke with a nurse and she said, "Sometimes you don't know what you don't know." This is one of the primary reasons we created a financial concepts series on our Quality of Life Planning® channel. This week, we're talking about wills. I know no one is rushing to create a will, but hopefully this video highlights some of the reasons you may need one and clarifies some of the key components of a will. Watch the full video at the link in the comments. #nurses #estateplanning #wills

When you need to change and transform, it is uncomfortable for you and your team, and they will push back. It’s normal. but if you are stuck in the familiar, it’s the status quo and transformation is the way to get out of it. Get out of the comfort zone. As we are now well into Q4, and we see the winter holidays approaching, many of us are working on our nursing strategic plans. Perhaps you’ve traditionally used the hospital or system strategic plan and added “Nursing” to the title and shared it at your next Nursing Leadership meeting... but not anymore. Read as Nurse Expert, Jeanne Schuppe, encourages you to take a different approach and the many benefits you can reap through these subtle changes. https://bit.ly/3URsBtL #Nursing #Nurse #leadership #Hospital #Strategicplanning #Improvement
