Planning a trip to the lake or headed camping for the 4th of July holiday? We have some cooler organization tips and tricks for you to make you holiday (and your drinks) cooler and easier! 1️⃣ Bring your cooler inside the night before you pack it. This allows the cooler to get to a lower temperature before you load it. If you want to get the BEST performance out of your cooler, fill it with ice the night before to pre-chill it. Dump the ice before you pack it. 2️⃣ Remove excess packaging. This will allow you to fit more in the cooler. 3️⃣ Freeze what you can. Taking bottles of water? Freeze some of them! They will help keep your cooler colder longer. 4️⃣ Use the correct amount of ice. Aim for an ice-to-content ratio of 2:1. That means you want TWICE as much ice as you have food and drinks. Wishing you all a safe and happy 4th of July! Stay cool out there!! 🇺🇸

Embrace the Flow of Your Thoughts, pack up your camping gear! In life, situations arise and situations go, some beautiful and some disturbing. Our minds are like rivers of thought, constantly in flow. Rivers do not get caught up on the embankment or stuck in the middle of the bed; they simply flow over rocks of troubling situations and around the drama of boulders along the way. They never get stuck; they just keep flowing all the way to the ocean, completely emptying their content into the vastness of the sea, leaving no trace of their original waters. Observe the stormy rivers of your mind, be mindful! Do not put up your tent and take out the camping chairs and sit in the middle of your disturbing thoughts. You will get stuck in the agitated waters, causing your river to dam up with boulders of relentless, wasteful thinking. Allow your beautiful, colorful river of thoughts to simply flow; thoughts come and thoughts go; hold on to none! Take down your tent, pack away your camping chairs, and let the river flow! Are you ready to master the flow of your thoughts? Connect with me for your personalized coaching session, designed to help you navigate your mind’s stormy rivers so that you may experience peace and calm. #Personal Growth #EmbraceChange #Mentorship #Inspiration #EmotionalWellbeing

Do you need to write yourself a permission slip? I did a fantastic exercise last week with my coaching cohort exploring the rules we live by and put on ourselves, and wow I live by a lot of rules! Two thought experiments I encourage you to try (and let me know how you get on in the comments 👇) #1: if there were no rules to live by, how would you live your life differently? My answer, be more cat, so I am sure you can do better than that! #2: if you let go of some of your rules, what could you give yourself permission to do? The second one really got me thinking. We are renovating our house at the moment, and it is seemingly endless. So it is only 'right' that we spend our spare time doing the never-ending to-do list. Or... or we could go camping as a family this weekend, enjoy the sunny weather and remind ourselves how lucky we are. So I gave myself permission to book the camping trip, told the kids to manipulate their dad into agreeing that - yes a family camping trip IS a better use of his time than fitting the skirting boards in the kitchen. Live for now, time is too short, as I and many of my connections have been painfully reminded of this week. What's does your permission slip say?

Campground Etiquette The unwritten rules of camping can vary greatly between campers. When I ask these kinds of questions, the majority of people responding usually have the same ideas of what is most important to keep in mind on the campsite, but some have very different opinions. Either way, I think it's helpful to discuss because there are some campers that don't even know these "rules" are a thing! Here are the top answers I got in response to this video. What would you add to this list? 1. Don't cut through campsites. 2. Don't let your dogs bark. 3. Keep your music turned down/honor quiet time. 4. Don't leave trash in the fire ring/on your site. 5. Be kind, friendly and helpful. *Bonus Response* 6. Turn off your outside RV lights at night.

Dads!! As the school year comes to an end, we want to remind you make memories with your kiddos, but we’re not talking about taking an extravagant vacation. Here are 5 simple ways to have summer fun with your kids: 1. Visit a splash pad or public swimming pool to beat the heat. If you’d rather remain close to home, get a water table, slip-n-slide, or sprinkler for them to run through. 2. Include your kids with household maintenance and DIY projects so you can teach them the importance of taking pride in your home. Remember to be patient and know the goal is enjoying time together. 3. Teach your teens how to grill and take them grocery shopping for your favorite summer meals. Let them create the menu and help with the food preparation. 4. Take your kiddos on bike/scooter rides, or walks to soak up nature and the outdoors. 5. Our personal favorite, find a state park and reserve a camping site for a surprise camping getaway! 🔥 Whatever you do, include your kids in the planning, preparation and be creative with your adventures. Get excited about the time you’ll share together and they will feed off of your enthusiasm to enjoy special time making memories. Lessons from the Last Camping Trip of the Season 🚐🏕️ Yesterday, I wrapped up our final camping trip of the year, and what a ride it was! Battling strong winds while towing the trailer home dropped my gas mileage from 10 MPG to under 6. 😬 Not exactly the smooth finish I had planned, but we travelled safely. When I finally made it home, there was no time to relax. With the temperature dropping dangerously close to freezing, I jumped into action, winterizing the trailer's plumbing to avoid frozen pipes. ❄️ Now that the camping season is officially in the rearview mirror, it's time to reflect on the lessons learned: 1️⃣ Headwinds Happen. ➡️ Whether you're on the road or in the office, unexpected obstacles can knock you off course. The key is to adjust your approach and keep moving forward, even if it's slower than you'd like. 2️⃣ Proactive is Better than Reactive. ➡️ Just as I couldn't afford to wait for frozen pipes, we can't wait for problems to arise in business. Being proactive saves time, money, and stress down the road. 3️⃣ Timing is Everything. ➡️ Just like a freeze warning, some things can't wait. When it's time to act, handle it before small issues become big problems. Have you encountered any "headwinds" recently? How did you adjust? I’d love to hear your story! 🚐💨 #LessonsFromTheRoad #BusinessTips #WinterIsComing
