What if you did things differently? The rush of the season ahead is entering quickly… How many times have you… → Overextended yourself during the holidays, packing your schedule with too many commitments, only to feel overwhelmed and depleted? → Put off taking care of yourself—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—because “you don’t have time” everything is too hectic? → Promised you’d start fresh at the beginning of the year, only to watch those intentions fizzle out before they really began? Every year we go through the same things- nothing changes about how quickly the season swoops in and tells us to be in 90 different directions all at the same time. It can feel exhausting just thinking about it. But, what if you didn’t do things the same way this year? What if this year, you were prepared, supported, and aligned as you started the holiday season? We can prepare our mind, body, and spirit just like we do with a mental to-do list. This kind of awareness unlocks possibilities and solutions that might have otherwise gone unnoticed. If you are interested in learning how to prepare yourself for the holidays - Join me for this upcoming workshop session. You don’t have to do life the same this year. #honoringyou #holisticwellness #holidays #selfdiscovery

The Anatomy of a Good 'No': How Not to Put Yourself Last This Holiday Season My retreat with clients here in Paris kicked off yesterday. One of the things we talked about is 'putting ourselves last' as women, until we hit burnout. Not just at the holidays. All year around. But particularly with the holidays comes the pressure to say 'yes' to everything: hosting dinners, attending every party, buying endless gifts, and squeezing in “one more thing.” But where does that leave you? Burnt out. Exhausted. And wondering why you didn’t set boundaries sooner. This season, let’s flip the script. Instead of putting yourself last, practice saying no—gracefully but firmly—to anything that compromises your well-being. Use this framework: 1️⃣ Acknowledge "I appreciate the invite; it sounds like a wonderful evening..." By acknowledging the request, you show respect for the other person’s time and effort. 2️⃣ Address "...but my schedule is packed, and I’ve made a commitment to focus on self-care this year." Here, you align your reasoning with a value that’s hard to argue against: taking care of yourself. OR "I’m focusing on simplifying my holiday commitments this year to create more time for myself and my family." Keep it short, kind, and rooted in your priorities—you don’t owe anyone a detailed explanation. 3️⃣ Align "I’d love to catch up after the holidays—maybe a coffee date in January?" Offer a path forward to maintain the relationship while sticking to your boundaries. ✨ Why it Works: This approach avoids guilt, keeps relationships intact, and, most importantly, reminds you that it’s okay to prioritize yourself. Remember: Saying 'no' to something that drains you is saying 'yes' to rest, joy, and energy. Let’s normalize self-care as a holiday tradition. All of my scripts and scenarios for saying 'no' live in my digital community here https://lnkd.in/eszt-F7S How will you set boundaries this holiday season? 👇 #AnatomyOfAGoodNo #Boundaries #SelfCare #Leadership #PersonalGrowth

The work will always be there. Your health won't. As I go offline for the July 4th holiday, there will be. -No Zoom -No emails. -No LinkedIn -No conference calls. Just glorious, connected time with people I love. For decades I did just the opposite. And it brought stress to a time of reflection. The pursuit of happiness is different for us all. For me it means that I'm sovereign to live the life I want. To pause often when I need a break. To prioritize my health and well-being first. To not miss precious moments with my family. Its prioritizing my work-health-life, knowing that the world will still revolve if I'm not there. Taking a pause for 1 hour, 1 day or 1 week improves your health and well-being. It allows you to tap into self-awareness, jolting creativity. Whether it's July 4th or the next holiday, my wish is that you take pause and get downtime. Be in all the feelings. Its how you can thrive across your work-health-and-life. -- 📌For more tips like, subscribe to my newsletter, The Well-being Playbook, at https://soniahunt.com
