Dear colleagues and friends, I invite you to contribute to Public Consultation on PPA Contract Templates held by ACER. What is PPA: contracts between renewable energy producers and buyers provide stable, mutually agreed rates, promoting renewable energy adoption. 1) Why it is important to participate: the consultation will help to develop voluntary templates for Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) contracts in the EU energy market and eliminate barriers, aiming to enhance energy pricing predictability and meet climate targets. Your expertise is essential for a robust, informed decision-making process. By participating, you help shape the regulatory framework and the future of the EU energy market. Timeline: - The public consultation: 20 June - 18 July 2024 - Evaluation and review of feedback: Autumn 2024. - Outcome: template development will start in Winter 2024. How to Participate: Provide your detailed feedback during the consultation via ACER website https://lnkd.in/d8tG6jpS

🔋🔔The Energy Storage Coalition calls on the European Commission to implement a comprehensive Action Plan on Energy Storage, a crucial step to ensure Europe meets its energy transition goals. While recent EU legislation, including the Clean Energy Package and the Electricity Market Design reform, has laid a foundation for renewable energy and storage, significant barriers to widespread storage deployment remain. The Energy Storage Coalition calls on the European Commission to develop an Action Plan on Energy Storage to provide regulatory clarity, streamline deployment processes, and encourage investment across Member States. 🔋The Energy Storage Coalition highlights five essential elementsthat should be included in the proposed Action Plan: ☘️ Provide dedicated incentives for energy storage; ☘️ Harmonise permitting and grid connection rules for storage deployment; ☘️ Set a fair framework for network charges and levies; ☘️ Prioritise energy storage in capacity markets and launch dedicated auctions for energy storage and flexibility solutions; ☘️ Monitor energy storage growth in the National Energy & Climate Plans. 📎You can find the appeal here: https://lnkd.in/eVZ93rgJ

Helping Swansea businesses to decarbonise is all part of the net zero ambition for the county. It’s important we work with our businesses and communities because each of us can play an important part in reaching that goal #itseveryonesbusiness #netzero #climatechange #swanseaprojectzero
A workshop is taking place later this month to show Swansea businesses ways to cut their carbon footprint and boost their energy efficiency. Organised by Swansea Council, the workshop is being held at Brynmill Community Centre on St Alban’s Road on Friday June 28. Lasting from 9am to 4pm, the workshop will also show businesses how to carry out an energy audit. Businesses that take part are eligible to apply for a carbon reduction grant – worth up to £10,000 – to help them cover the costs of renewable energy generation, energy conservation measures or changes to manufacturing processes. Head here to book a space at the workshop: https://lnkd.in/e3m5iDFF

What are “Time Of Use” energy rates and why is WRA working in Nevada to improve them? Time Of Use (YOU) rates allow residential customers who’ve opted in to control their monthly electricity bill by changing the timing of their energy use to hours when energy is cheaper. By using electricity during non-peak hours customers can see lower rates. TOU rates also help utilities increase the use of renewable energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by incentivizing customer energy use during times when more renewable energy is available. This allows customers to save money and reduce emissions – a win-win for both the economy and environment.
