SEO is not dead...unless you're going into 2025 using this outdated method: 👉 Only optimizing for the big search engines (Google, Bing, etc.). Why is this method outdated? ~45 billion searches occur daily, and Google accounts for only ~18% of that. So, if you only optimize for search engines, you are leaving A LOT of potential revenue on the table. To improve how your content is ranked in the digital space in 2025, you have to change your definition of SEO. ❌ SEO = Search Engine Optimization ✅ SEO = Search Everywhere Optimization SEO has changed, and you need to change, too, to stay relevant. Start by: 👉 Optimize your content not just for search engines but also for AI platforms like SearchGPT and ChatGPT, social media platforms like Instagram, and other platforms like podcast sites and app stores.

SEO has evolved far beyond traditional search engines. As we approach 2025, 'Search Everywhere Optimization' reflects the reality of how people discover content today. Limiting efforts to Google or Bing leaves untapped opportunities across AI platforms, social media, and app ecosystems. To stay relevant, optimizing for every digital touchpoint is no longer optional—it’s essential for growth.

Great post! As an AI enthusiast, I completely agree that optimizing for AI platforms like SearchGPT and ChatGPT is crucial for SEO success in 2025. In fact, I believe that AI-powered tools will become even more prevalent in the coming years, and businesses that don't adapt will be left behind. It's exciting to see how AI is transforming the digital space, and I'm always happy to chat more about it. Thanks for sharing this valuable insight!

With so much of the search landscape evolving beyond Google, it's clear that: 1️⃣ Optimising for AI platforms (like ChatGPT) and social platforms is becoming non-negotiable. 2️⃣ Content needs to meet people where they are—whether that’s a podcast app, Instagram, or even in-app search results. 3️⃣ The future of SEO is about adaptability, not just rankings.

This is such an important and timely reminder! 🚀 SEO has evolved, and the old methods just aren’t enough anymore. With billions of searches happening daily across a variety of platforms, focusing solely on traditional search engines means you’re missing out on a massive amount of traffic and revenue. I love the shift from "Search Engine Optimization" to "Search Everywhere Optimization." It’s about expanding our reach across multiple platforms—AI tools like ChatGPT, social media, podcasts, and more. Being adaptable to these changes is key to staying relevant in 2025 and beyond. If you’re not optimizing your content for all these channels, you’re definitely leaving potential on the table. Time to think bigger and optimize everywhere! 🌍📱

SEO is no longer just about ranking high on Google, it's about staying relevant in an ever-evolving digital landscape.  With AI influencing search engines and social media platforms now functioning like search engines themselves, your approach to SEO needs to evolve, too.  If you're still only optimizing your website, you're missing out on massive opportunities to drive traffic, leads, and sales. AI-powered search results are reshaping how people discover information online.  Search engines like Google now prioritize AI-driven tools that predict and match user intent more effectively than ever before.  If your website content isn’t optimized for AI's evolving algorithms, you’ll struggle to be found.  But that’s just the start, social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn are increasingly adopting SEO practices, meaning your posts, hashtags, and even bio descriptions need to be fine-tuned for maximum visibility. The truth is, today’s SEO is about more than keywords and backlinks.  You need to ensure your business is visible wherever your target audience is searching.  I hope this helps 🦊

This shift from “Search Engine Optimisation” to “Search Everywhere Optimisation” is exactly where the smart strategies are heading. It’s no longer just about Google rankings; it’s about visibility across the platforms where your audience already spends their time: AI, socials, podcasts, and even app stores. By diversifying your optimisation efforts, you’re not just staying relevant; you’re creating touchpoints everywhere your potential audience searches. The platforms may change, but the value of being discoverable doesn’t. Smart move to focus on everywhere.

I believe SEO is dead. People will search using direct answers, such as Perplexity, GPT search, or AI tools that allow for web search. It is extremely convenient to find a direct answer rather than guessing the web page. People who claim that SEO is not dead either have SEO tools or work in this industry and rarely move on.

I would agree that SEO isn't dead, but paying outside agencies to do it certainly has one foot in the grave.

Technologies will keep evolving, they will never die, it is just that we need to keep upgrading overselves.
