Cutting Corners in Manufacturing Can Cost You Everything A supplier in our industry once shared something troubling with me. They were cutting costs by using cheaper, non-food-grade materials for cutlery. But they still marketed it as “premium.” I noticed similar practices happening in the market: Cheaper products labeled as high-quality, deceiving customers. But here’s the problem: • What happens when the quality fails, and your brand suffers? • How do you regain trust when customers feel cheated? • What if these shortcuts lead to bigger legal and health issues? I get it—cutting costs seems like a quick fix. But at SHAPES, we’ve never compromised on our core values: → We only use food-grade stainless steel for safety and quality. → We are 100% transparent with our clients. → We maintain trust by delivering exactly what we promise. It’s a harder path, sure. But it’s the one that’s earned us loyal customers and lasting partnerships. Years ago, I had the same choice: Cut corners or stick to my values. I chose integrity, and today, SHAPES is a top brand in the stainless-steel cutlery industry. P.S. What’s your experience with suppliers? Have you ever faced a situation where quality didn’t match the promise?
