Marissa's post made me realize how important gratitude has become in my life. Looking at what is going right, even if it's something minuscule (like a spell checker -- thank you LI!!), helps me be more optimistic overall. As someone who has struggled with depression and definitely does not want to go back there, I am certain that my gratitude practice has helped pave the way for better mental health. That is NOT to say that I don't recognize the struggles that I have. I'm not interested in "only good vibes." Instead, I find it essential to define The Problem so that I can then determine The Solution. Chinese medicine shows that there cannot be light without darkness; they are two sides of the same coin. I am grateful for my struggles. If I don't recognize what I don't want, it's much more difficult to figure out what I do want.

FAREWELL MESSAGES I was wondering why do we give farewell messages to the team-mate who is leaving us? I think they acknowledge the contributions and achievements of departing colleagues, fostering a sense of appreciation and respect. These messages also wish good luck and heartfelt wishes for the new endeavour. Awards at the workplace, #tacky? or #exciting? maybe #unnecessary? or maybe exactly what is needed? 🥇 There have been a few occasions I've snatched up a #reward in the #workplace and funny enough that would usually be the first award given for that specific #achievement. 🏆 🙈 So no, I didn't specifically work for it or was even aware of it. So did I win it because there was no competition? 🙄 Well, yes an no, in this specific #occasion Agnė Jankauskė & Ernestas Bacevičius presented me with the "Ambassador of the Month" Award. It did for sure come as a surprise over our weekly #ambassadors meeting. 😮 🎉 ❌ No I didn't compete for it - not actively anyway. I'm not competing against my #colleagues, but rather against #myself, seeing how week on week, post by post, the reach is #shrinking or #increasing based on how interesting or #relevant my post was. ✔ Yes I deserved it - and my colleagues do to. In this case the award was presented to the ambassador who's posts #generated the most #reach within a month, and #lucky duck I am, to have received more than 12k impressions. For a newbie in the group, not a bad start. 😍 🦆 As this is a new initiative Centric IT Solutions Lithuania, my thoughts are: 📍 Awards for achievements inspire employees to perform better and strive for excellence. 📍 Recognizing hard work boosts morale and creates a positive work environment. 📍 Appreciating employees' efforts increases loyalty and reduces turnover rates. 📍 Acknowledging achievements promotes companionship and encourages collaboration among team members. Thank you everyone for sparing time to wish me on my work anniversary. Was quite overwhelmed with the number of congratulatory messages that I received in my inbox . As I look at the number of years I have stayed in this organisation was thinking what made me stay back. Earlier stint was for 12 years.. the kind of industry I work for access to alternative was never an issue.. so what was it? I always loved working where I got space to think and implement.. here when I joined as a State office head I got exactly that.. independence to think and implement.. the organisation I joined way back in 2007 embraced me like a family and I hope this remains in the years to come.. this is what made my workplace special and ensured many of us did not pay heed to the lure of the outside world. I also belong to stone age and never really could wrap my head regarding joining a competitive body.. now when I think about my journey.. I am so thankful for the variety of experiences.. i dont think this kind of diversity in job profile I could have had maybe if I would have chosen some other path . I am so very thankful for all the connects I made within and outside the organisation.. most of the connects I have made outside CII have remained and the positivity , warmth, help , appreciation I have received and continue to receive from many of them is what really keeps me going..times are changing, outlook is changing but I will in no way want to change the work atmosphere / work ethics/ work definition that I experienced . Maybe resilience, grit and ability to look at adversity in the eye and face it also helped :) And organisation has always had my back at the time of personal crisis which reaffirmed that investment of time, energy, emotion was worth it..end of the day people makes an organisation and the positivity received has far far outweighed everything else :) Here's to some more years of growth and shared success together! 🌟 #WorkAnniversary #Gratitude #PositiveWorkEnvironment #bepositive #employeewellbeing #worklife
