The sessions were expertly led by our seasoned trainers: Yankees Mukabwa – Senior Corporate Finance, and WILBERFORCE AMUGUNE (The Steward) – Senior Manager, Corporate Finance. The training covered components of a risk management framework, the importance of a risk register for the retirement benefits scheme, and the key components of a risk register, among other areas. 🎉 I’m excited to announce that I have successfully earned my Certificate of Proficiency in Long Term Insurance from the Insurance Academy of Botswana This milestone aligns closely with the concepts I studied during my economics degree, such as investment and portfolio management, corporate finance, and risk assessment. Through this certification, I have deepened my understanding of insurance principles, particularly in the context of long-term financial planning and managing risks, which are crucial for building sustainable financial solutions. As difficult as it may seem to find a job in today’s era, it’s important to stay proactive. There are moments when you might feel uncertain or even regretful, but short courses like this one can truly help you see the light at the end of the tunnel. They allow you to expand your knowledge—reminding us all that learning has no age limit—and open doors to opportunities you never thought possible. To my fellow graduates: it is possible to succeed if you’re willing to put in the work. Keep pushing forward and trust the process! Here’s to continued growth and new opportunities ahead! #ProfessionalGrowth #InsuranceIndustry #EconomicsGraduate #RiskManagement #CareerDevelopment

Reflecting on my journey in the risk management industry, I’m reminded how knowledge-sharing has been at the core of my work. From boardrooms to classrooms, I believe education is a powerful tool transforming individuals and industries alike. One of the most meaningful experiences was volunteering at Pros and Expert in Nigeria, where I taught various subjects to students preparing for the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) exams. Offering specialized guidance, I saw firsthand the impact of focused education on emerging professionals. In every role, I’ve strived to create opportunities to foster growth—whether by leading workshops, guiding new teams, or supporting colleagues in their own learning journeys. Today, my passion for education drives me to share financial knowledge on my platforms, especially for immigrants like myself in North America. Financial literacy is a cornerstone for success, and I am committed to helping others unlock its potential. Let’s continue pushing the boundaries of what we can achieve together through education! 🌱 #Education #KnowledgeSharing #FinancialLiteracy #RiskManagement #ImmigrantSupport #CIIN #Empowerment
