Sarepta reports Q2 earnings today at 4:30 EST. •Recall, at the end of Q224 (June 20), Elevidys’ label was expanded to Duchenne patients 4+, regardless of ambulatory status, potentially opening floodgates of demand. •While Sarepta has signaled that it hs manufactured supply ‘at risk’ / ahead of FDA decision and can therefore meet demand, it isn’t clear if patients have clarity from their payers on how quickly they can be infused with Elevidys. •The limited number of Qualified Treatment Centers may temper/meter the demand. •It isn’t yet clear if payers will cover this product to (expanded) label or place restrictions on populations for which little data is publicly available, including older, non-ambulatory patients. Medical Policies are issued/revised on the payers’ own timeline. #elevidys #duchenne #sarepta #cgt #atmp #srpt #genetherapy

Polypharmacy is commonly used as a measure of quality of care in aged care settings, but it’s not very well defined. Our research published in BMJ Quality & Safety shows that the rates of #polypharmacy can vary a lot depending on whether looking at prescribing data or administration data, as well as which timeframes and medicine criteria are considered. The research suggests that adopting a more consistent approach to measuring polypharmacy would lead to more meaningful reports and better benchmarks for quality of care in aged care settings.
