These quotes resonate deeply with me this week on my journey as a venture builder and business analyst. I successfully completed my course on discovering entrepreneurship, gaining a deeper understanding of its crucial role in the economy. The course covered several key aspects, including identifying entrepreneurial opportunities, creating business plans, crafting compelling vision and mission statements, competitive analysis, and pitching techniques. We also delved into leadership and business structures, particularly within private companies. I'm excited about the many lessons yet to come on this journey. This is for all my founders out there: In the 3 companies I have cofounded, I’ve been challenged and questioned on the work it took to start and build the foundation of the company. Initially, it hurt and it was confusing because it took courage, time, discomfort, discipline, stress, and so much more to build something that people want to come join and work for. It’s happened multiple times with multiple people over the years in each company. It’s finally dawned on me that the founder's journey is lonely, and unless you have started a business, you won’t understand what it took. I’m not writing this for sympathy or to soften the inevitable conversations for founders, but I’m writing this so founders understand that we aren’t alone, we can be a different breed, and we don’t do this to prove to others our value… we do this to build value. There are many people and skills needed to make a company successful and all play an important role, but to the founders out there… ➡️ It’s one of the most challenging but grateful positions to be in. An Unforgettable Experience: My First Pitching Event! Over the last three days, I had the incredible opportunity to pitch my idea for the first time in a high-energy, collaborative environment. Here’s how the journey unfolded: Day 1: Generating Ideas To form a team with a unified vision, we started by creating a skit to present our idea to colleagues. This was our way of sharing our passion and gaining early support. Day 2: Crafting the Idea We spent the day refining our deck, gaining a deeper understanding of how to effectively communicate the value of our idea to potential investors. It was all about mastering the "how" and "why" behind the pitch. Day 3: Making the Sale With only three minutes to pitch in front of real investors, we fine-tuned our presentation to be concise and impactful. The pressure was on, but it was an exhilarating experience. One major lesson I learned is that while a good pitcher identifies the problem, a great one talks about the problem, solution, market, competitors, and evidence. But the best pitchers? They weave all of that into a compelling story that resonates. I’m incredibly grateful to my mentors David Bachowski Dan Greco for their guidance also my team mates Prachi Jaiswal Nimisha Nooti Nidhi Tailor for their support.
