According to Tekmar Group, instability in the #offshorewind market has been a feature of 2023, and fiscal and regulatory uncertainty, particularly in the UK and U.S., created pressures. Tekmar believes the market is moving in the right direction in 2024 with a more balanced approach to developers and contractors in managing project risk leading to incremental but sustained improvement in demand. “Our pipeline and enquiry book is healthy across the Group and we are in discussions with developers and Tier 1 contractors on a number of significant projects." #subsea #offshoreenergy #oilandgas

We are pleased to announce the official launch of a collaborative agreement with ocean services provider, DeepOcean, to supply vessel-based well plugging and abandonment services to the global decommissioning market.    Characterised by a “one team” approach, the single contract solution offers a turnkey service including equipment, planning, execution and close-out, leaving a full audit trail to ensure optimum repurpose and reuse of retrieved assets.    The partnership commenced with a recently-completed, agile multi-well vessel-based P&A campaign on behalf of Serica Energy plc, which resulted in significant time and cost-savings, and reduced CO2  impact, when compared with rig-based P&A activity.   Bart Van De Laar, Exceed’s Head of Decommissioning said: “By pairing DeepOcean’s diverse global fleet and vessel management capabilities with EXCEED's specialist range of well decommissioning expertise, the international decom sector benefits from a world-class vessel-based well P&A service. Ten years later and the Mountain Valley Pipeline is now ready, pending the final Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) greenlight, which could come at any moment. Cheers to a job well done! 🥂 The Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) project is a natural gas pipeline system that spans approximately 303 miles from northwestern West Virginia to southern Virginia – and as an interstate pipeline will be regulated by the FERC. The MVP is owned and being constructed by Mountain Valley Pipeline, LLC (Mountain Valley), a joint venture formed among affiliates of each of Equitrans Midstream Corporation; NextEra Energy, Inc.; Consolidated Edison, Inc.; AltaGas Ltd.; and RGC Resources, Inc. Equitrans Midstream Corporation Midstream owns a significant interest in the joint venture and will operate the pipeline. ### Glendronach: The Next Target for GLA Gas Partners West of Shetland The Greater Laggan Area (GLA) gas development partners, operating west of Shetland, are set to focus their next efforts on the Glendronach field. This strategic shift aims to optimize the existing infrastructure and bolster the region’s energy production capabilities. ### Background and Context The GLA joint venture, which includes TotalEnergies as the operator, has been actively exploring and developing gas fields in the Shetland Shelf. Recent investments and tie-in developments have extended the operational lifespan of existing facilities, such as the Shetland Gas Plant. The Edradour West field, another key area of focus, was initially anticipated to be the next tie-in development due to its proximity to the GLA trunkline system. ### Glendronach: A Key Development Prospect The Glendronach field has been identified as a prime target for future development, considering its proximity to existing infrastructure. This move aligns with the GLA partners’ goal of maximizing the utilization of their installed assets. The development of Glendronach would not only leverage the existing trunkline system but also pave the way for additional infill wells in the surrounding fields connected to the trunkline. ### Enhanced Production Strategies Kistos Energy, a key player in the GLA joint venture, is continuously assessing and enhancing production strategies. The company is working closely with TotalEnergies to manage facilities constraints and optimize operations. For instance, the suspension of production at the Edradour gas field due to facilities constraints has been temporarily mitigated by compensatory production from other wells. ### Future Prospects and Planning The North Sea region’s geology and the Vlieland sandstone formation in particular offer promising opportunities for enhanced oil recovery. Kistos’ planned Orion oil development in the Dutch North Sea is a low-cost project utilizing existing facilities at Q10-A and P15-D. This initiative aims to tap into the Vlieland sandstone formation, which contains natural fractures that could significantly enhance oil productivity. ### Conclusion The GLA gas partners’ focus on the Glendronach field represents a strategic step forward in leveraging existing infrastructure and maximizing energy production in the Shetland Shelf.
