I have always been amazed that as consumers, we all suffer the consequences of a manufacturer recall, bug fix, or software update. And most of these usually result in the purchase of a new product or service. One example I lean on: Apple doesn't require you to have Apple Care Support to receive a software or patch update? So why are Enterprise IT customers threatened by OEM's? "If you don't continue with our (overpriced) branded support you won't have access to patches and updates which may threaten your system's performance and potentially void your warranty..."
