Today, we announced $295K under the #2BillionTrees program for the Memorial University Botanical Garden to establish a tree nursery. 👶🌳 The nursery will grow over 500 saplings per year that will eventually be planted in urban and community areas, leading to: 🟢 more trees and green spaces 🪵 less carbon in the air we breathe 📈 more jobs The trees will be native to Newfoundland and Labrador, supporting regional tree-planting efforts and underscoring the importance of ensuring the right trees are planted in the right places.
