#NDIS #NDIA #BackwardsBill I share the submission by Marie J.. It will be hard for the senators & #NDIABoard to walk away from the material & real data. #PleaseExplain #Dysfunction causes #chaos - we are seeing it unfold in the Anthony Albanese government's first term & potentially only term. #BrokenPromises All this flows to harm, hurt to participants, their carers, their families, the good providers & intermediaries; as well as the broader community as #NDIS is lifting the Australian economy. There should be nothing less than an urgent tasking to undertake an #APS Capability Review of the National Disability Insurance Agency by the Australian Public Service Commission Gordon de Brouwer. Many within the sector, including peak bodies, will be providing submissions to the #ANAO on the operation & governance of the #NDIA thru the decisions of the #NDIABoard, including the inadequate pricing arrangements. #TruthtoPower Mark Toomey Graham Taylor Jane Scott ♿

Here is my latest submission to Inquiries on the #NDISBill. Protected by Parliamentary Privilege. 👇 https://lnkd.in/dtEckfS4 Chock full of #FOI goodies from knowledgable experienced #FOI requesters. Thank you 🙏 Triangulating the information in these documents, tells a damning story of #NDIA organisational dysfunction, crisis and uncontrolled #Risk. Have a look. Many of these documents would not have been seen by #NDIA staff. Journalists might be particularly interested. Key points. ⏩ Even *IF* this defective and dangerous Bill is passed, implementation will FAIL, because of what is revealed in these #FOI documents. ⏩ How many #NDIA senior execs are needed to change a lightbulb? A lot it seems. Increasing SES numbers is apparently a strategy in “future proofing the NDIA”. Great strategy that didn’t work, so they tried it again. First in 2022 for plus 30 to 82 (just as Ms Falkingham arrived). The next on 3 July 23 by Ms Falkingham, from 82 to 115. See what the APS Commissioner had to say. ⏩ Senior exec to workforce ratios are out of whack – 1:58 for corporate senior execs and 1:266 for Participant-facing: that is 1 exec to 266 planners. ⏩ #FOI docs show that the planner workforce (2148) is smaller in size than the corporate workforce (2401). In compare the pair table in the 2022 brief, #ServicesAustralia has a ratio of 1:193 for corporate but #NDIA has 1:48. The #NDIA is outperforming #ServicesAustralia on EXECUTIVE BLOAT. ⏩ Then there's the CLOGGED PATHWAY. In light of the bloating #NDIA SES, the organisational performance against the legislated Participant Service Guarantee (PSG) is damning. Only *ONE* measure out of 10 met the legislated time frame. When we dive into the numbers we uncover a backlog, but over the past year, there has NEVER been a backlog reported for this PSG. #Estimates The bloated and growing executive fat is the apex of the inverted resourcing pyramid. ⏩ #NDIS systems are effectively Mon-Fri, Closed Weekends. Another outage THIS weekend. Something is *VERY* wrong. Systems that are *almost* a Mon-Fri offering, worse than the early days of call centre offshoring. Also, don't miss the #FOI analysis on the #Salesforce #PACE procurement and tricky questions about #Data #Security. The operational performance and #Capability of the #NDIA must be closely examined through a #RoyalCommission, because the data indicates an Agency in crisis, and that means people are at #Risk. “Reforms” launched into this environment via this #NDISBill, is a recipe for disaster. I believe the People Strategy for any of the community that belongs to Corporate SA, is the most important, because the main strategy and all other sub-strategies depend on it. #IPM2024 #goodnewsthoughts
