National Home Decarbonisation Group (NHDG)’s Post

Great to see our members come together for the NHDG forum yesterday! With your support we continue to push forward the group's priorities across retrofit policy, green skills and innovation. 🏡 A big thank you to Selvin Brown, Director of Net Zero Buildings Domestic, and Shaun Garvey, Programme Director for Net Zero Domestic, for joining us and sharing the Government's commitment to clean heat and home decarbonisation. Our collective commitment to collaboration is enabling the delivery of real outcomes for communities across the UK as we drive forward #netzero. Thank you to Alison Skillen MIEMA CEnv, Project Director at Retrofit Information, Support and Expertise (RISE) and David Kemp, Programme Director at RISE, for sharing a fantastic update on the support offered through this service. We look forward to our continued engagement as we support the delivery of retrofit works at the local level. We were also joined by Anees Mank, Retrofit Programme & Policy Lead at Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) who provided an insight into the inspiring work and positive impacts for households GMCA have delivered in the region to date. These insights highlight the motivations of the NHDG as we continue to deliver the best outcomes for the communities we serve. The theme that came out of the session was collaboration and the importance of sharing best practise as we work towards our common goals. Thank you to all in attendance for your contributions and we look forward to meeting again soon!

Derek Horrocks It was a brilliant event, I was delighted to be able to take part, especially the Q&A after the presentation. It was really great to hear all the ideas on how we build collaboration, best practice and lessons learned into Retrofit Information, Support and Expertise mobilisation for success support. I look forward to continuing that collaboration over the coming months.
