𝐇𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞: 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐞𝐝 ≠ 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫. 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞. Give credit to ESPN’s social team and designers for delivering with this one. (J'Ron Erby + Grant Goldberg, I am assuming this is from y'all!) It's intentionally a simple composition — like something you’d see from Nike or adidas celebrating their signature athletes — because great marketing by the biggest brands is universal. The best creatives know when to stop adding and let the moment shine. In an age of information overload, the posts that cut through the noise look like this. What’s your take on this? Are creatives overthinking social media content?

With another impressive haul of medals, 65 in total, it’s hard to believe that back in Atlanta in 1996, Team GB won just one gold, and 15 medals in total. So what changed? One of the most significant developments has been a more holistic approach towards performance - and one that we think can benefit organisations too. The strategy is now about how athletes train, and also how they rest and recover. It’s also about looking for marginal gains that can enhance the performance window. Everyone has stepped up their game in every area from training to performance. If, as you look at the best stats from Paris, you are thinking about the performance of your own teams, then you may enjoy our latest book, ’Rest. Practise. Perform.’ where we show how the winning strategies of elite sports can be applied to organisational performance. https://lnkd.in/eQdKebEH #Performance #TeamPerformance #EliteSports
