He has collected a set of balanced points from experts about the future of the prospective #Airtaxi industry that will evolve as Archer, Joby and others certify their aircraft. Given the success of helicopters on these types of routes in the past and the lower observed price elasticity on airport routes, Yves implicitly argues that a market already exists for this product. (Blade has already paved the way.). However, he also points out costs may be far higher initially than projected and that it will take some time for them to fall. All of this suggests that it will take far longer to build the higher levels of demand the industry had anticipated when Uber Elevate was launched in 2016. High-performance batteries for Lilium Jet eVTOL 🔋 Lilium has started production on battery packs for the Lilium Jet eVTOL aircraft. The advanced battery packs will power the Lilium Jet on its first piloted flight, earmarked for the end of 2024. Lilium’s battery pack is comprised of lithium-ion cells with silicon-dominant anodes that will allow for higher energy, power, and fast-charging capabilities than graphite anode cells.
