Nominations for these positions opened on Monday May 6, 2024, and closes on May 22, 2024, 11:59 PM PST. The BOD nomination will be conducted electronically, which includes submitting notifications (via link) and vote submission. The Board of Directors (BOD) serve a vital role in chapter’s activities, impacting professional growth in the Sacramento Valley for the over 1,560 members. Maintaining a strong Board of Directors is key to our Chapter’s success. If you know someone who would make a good board member for the available open positions, then nominate them. Only Project Management Institute-Sacramento Valley Chapter (PMI-SVC) members can nominate themselves. However, if PMI-SVC Chapter member nominates a non-member, the non-member can only accept the nomination if they join the PMI-SVC Chapter. Only as a PMI-SVC Chapter member, can he or she accept the nomination. Next steps The 2024 election process will start in May. The BOD nominations will be conducted by sending nominations to the 2024 PMI-SVC BOD Election Committee. As mentioned above, BOD voting, and election process will be conducted electronically. All Project Management Institute-Sacramento Valley Chapter members in good standing will receive an email notification when the nomination and election periods commence. Keep in mind: A candidate can only run for one office per election cycle. NOTE: Emails are sent to the accounts on file with pmi.org. If you need to update your email, please do so now at pmi.org. Election Key Dates May 6: Nominations Open. May 22 (11:59 PM PST): Nominations Closed. June 14: Candidate slate finalized. July 17, 6 to 7:30 PM PST: “Meet and Greet” Candidates; Venue (To be determined) and registration required. August 5-19: Polls open. August 19 (11:59 PM PST): Polls closed, and results tallied. On or around August 20: Election certified. On or around September 4: Election results announced to membership on website. September: Introduce new Board of Directors to membership. January 1, 2025: New board members officially take office.
