Money is a strong motivator. Targets (the goal line) are critical as well. For most people, they are working to make money. It’s just a simple truth! Those same people need to know where the goal line is. If they don’t, then they can’t plan and execute on how to get there. Companies that are not inplementing performance based comp and not setting and communicating clear targets are setting themselves up for under performance, lack of growth, and ultimately failure.
