Equity and diversity, as well as sustainability are the two cross-cutting themes in #JACARDI. An equity and diversity matrix, developed within JACARDI, supports project partners in practical consideration of equity and diversity, and this tool can be applied and adapted in any health measures. #equity #DiversityInclusion #Codesign

Experts from 21 countries across Europe uniting in France We’ve just launched an exciting multi-day event, uniting 200+ experts from 21 countries across Europe to tackle some of the most pressing public health challenges: prevention and control of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. 🇪🇺❤️ Today at the JACARDI General Assembly, we heard inspiring opening remarks from Caroline SEMAILLE, Director of Santé publique France, and Christine Jacob-Schumacher from the French Ministry of Health. Stefan Craenen from DG SANTE congratulated JACARDI on its one-year milestone and highlighted the European Commission's ongoing efforts to tackle non-communicable diseases (NCDs) through initiatives like Healthier Together and the Best Practice Portal, emphasizing the importance of collaboration, synergies, and JACARDI's contribution to achieving impactful, long-term results. Later today, we'll focus on NCD prevention across Europe with Linda Granlund and Knut Inge Klepp from the JA PreventNCD coordination team, followed by an insightful session on joint action to reduce the burden of CVDs and diabetes with Dr Jill Farrington, Regional Medical Officer from the WHO Regional Office for Europe. This event isn't just about policy discussions, it’s about action. Over the next few days, we’ll review the achievements of JACARDI’s first year and dive deep into the 142 pilot projects led by 76 partner institutions, each designed to improve health outcomes across Europe. This is a critical step forward in our collective effort to reduce the burden of NCDs in Europe and improve the lives of millions across the continent. Stay tuned for more updates! #JACARDIParis2024 #NCDs #CardiovascularHealth #Diabetes #EU4Health #CVD #DM
