Grateful will fall short to represent how I feel after this 3-days experience to explore, engage & commit to act to shape the future of Sanofi. But the road is paved with challenges in an environment changing faster than ever, powered by IA spreading at light speed as a tsunami we are learning to surf while it shifts our current paradigms in weeks, patients are empowered & expecting more from our industry & our mission is bold. But I believe we will transform those into opportunities to become the first IA powered biopharma to change the practice of medicine. Sounds exciting to you? To me: mission accepted! Interesting career lessons from Dave Ricks, Eli Lilly and Company Lilly and Company CEO Hardwired capabilities (aka. soft skills) are more important than industry knowledge and experience. Ricks is an example of a non scientist excelling in a scientific company based on some great qualities: bias for speed and sense of urgency, managerial courage, ability to work with people.

✨What makes a team successful?✨   🧚♀️According to me (but would love to hear your thoughts), it relies on sharing strong & common values, developing diverse competences & skills and being able to collaborate. This latter being sometimes not an easy task, especially when you value diversity!    🤓Yesterday, during our off-site team building at Novartis, we had the chance to increase our self-awareness on work-style preferences (Globesmart) and discussed/analyzed our profiles thanks to the different workshops led successfully by Maja Livic on team dynamics (Thank you!).    🧠It was fascinating to deep dive into my colleagues’ personality, especially when you finally understand the “why” behind some previous confusing situations due to miscommunication (collaborating with an “indirect” colleague while having a “direct” work style for instance 🙄 - clearly a “aha” moment). August marks another milestone in my career at Novartis as I entered 13th Year of amazing journey with Novartis. These 13 years have been full of diverse (Drug Development, Leadership, Strategy, Consulting and list goes on) experiences and many lessons for life. Below are my top 5 picks for people and organizations: 1.     Intangible benefits of long-term relationships are of No less importance than financial benefits a job can offer. Having peace of mind, good people to work with and enjoying your work has much more net value than estimated. 2.     Developing depth and breadth of knowledge, both are of equal value and career must have a right mix of both. Neither organizations, nor individuals should see lack of any of those as bottlenecks – both competencies are mandatory for successful businesses and career. 3.     Perfection is a myth and both organizations and individuals must embrace imperfections and see it. Amplify strengths and just be aware of opportunities (no need to put more energy than required to overcome weaknesses). 4.     Things evolve, and many times very differently than you would have planned. But that’s what life is all about, Isn’t it? Being ready for those with resilience and open mindset helps. 5.     Last but not the least, saying No is difficult (including to some career opportunities) but gives you immense confidence and pleasure to pursue what you want in life (in actual sense) and yes most of the times makes us happy in long run.
