Glimpses of #HR #Tech session hosted by Ghulam Mustafa at Usman Institute of Technology. Sharing key learnings in a nutshell: Aadil Riaz discussed the role of HR in managing employee relations, industrial relations, and highlighted that the success of an organization is driven by the quality of its people. The need to focus on productivity: Improving the efficiency of the workforce is crucial for enhancing productivity. Zafar Aziz Osmani emphasized the evolution of HR's role from transactional to strategic partnership, focusing on achieving business targets and ensuring a capable, motivated, and agile workforce. It was concluded on the note that change and innovation are the way forward, and people need to initiate and embrace it. on a lighter side an interesting point was made, highlighting the fact that these transformations are reflected in movies like #Terminator and now #ATLAS, showing the current and future potential of AI, where people may not need mobile phones and will connect through neuro links. A panel session discussed the following points: 1. Will AI regulate us? AI is already present and is a part of our current system; it's not just a future concept. By 2025, 90% of jobs will be replaced by AI, while 90 million new jobs will be created. 2. Impact of AI: There are change management challenges and a fear of job loss is there, but AI support humans which helps to reduce biases, and rely on data given by humans. The focus should shift to career development, job enrichment, and upskilling. 3. HR and new technology: HR is adopting new technology and practices, but this can't replace human interventions. 4. Changing tax regime and HR’s response: HR introducing policies such as work-from-home with defined KPIs for remote work. 5. Is AI behaving ethically? Responsible AI should consider human rights. Personal bots can help manage AI ethically. EU imposed restrictions on AI and Singapore's restrictions on children's use of AI were also discussed. Additionally, Apple launched an AI intelligence feature that accesses people's email and text information to update users now its a question of ethical boundaries. 6. People are taking advantage of AI to manipulate and exaggerate experiences and CVs, but in an interview, human presence can distinguish between original and manipulated information.

Great to be back in Copenhagen with People 1st | Global HR Executive hosting another insightful breakfast 🇩🇰 😄 Thank you Adam Griggs for organising a fantastic venue, Villa Copenhagen is a must visit! David Sandberg Larsen, thank you for moderating the session and sharing insight into your AI journey at Knauf 👏 The focus of our breakfast discussion was the impact of AI on our industry and the key takeaways for me were: 🤖 YoY there has been a massive increase in the adoption of chatbots to support internal and external candidate experience. 📚 QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey (and others) are doing some fantastic work supporting organisations in adopting AI. Ask the experts, and check out their research: https://lnkd.in/eu4jNi7r 💰 Adoption of AI doesn't have to cost. ChatGPT can interrogate your data, and Microsoft Speaker Coach can support your hiring managers interviewing via Teams. It feels like we are turning a corner with #AI adoption in HR & TA and it will be exciting to see where this journey takes organisations! #HiringSuccess #Networking #RecruitmentTechnology

How AI is Changing HR (and Why We Need to Be Careful) Artificial Intelligence (AI) is making HR tasks like resume screening, performance tracking, and workforce analysis faster and more efficient. There are a lot of AI tools out there, but for me, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Letterly have become my go-to platforms. They save us a lot of time in our everyday work. But here’s the thing: while AI is incredibly useful, we have to be careful about how we use it. AI still doesn’t have the human touch—the empathy, ethical understanding, and judgement that only people can bring. For example, AI can analyze data and automate tasks, but if it’s trained on biased data, it could unintentionally make unfair decisions when it comes to hiring or evaluating performance. That’s why we need humans involved to make sure the results are interpreted correctly and that decisions are fair and take context into account. Mo Gawdat, the former Chief Business Officer of Google [X], has spoken about the future of AI. He’s optimistic but also cautious. He believes AI is inevitable, but we must make sure it’s developed in a way that aligns with ethical values. In a recent talk at the Entrepreneurs Organisation in Dubai, he said: "AI is going to happen. There is absolutely no stopping it... This is not a technology conversation. This is an ethics conversation." Gawdat believes that by teaching AI systems to align with human values, we can ensure they’re used for good. And this is where HR leaders, especially in the Middle East, have an important role to play. As the region embraces new technologies, HR professionals need to make sure AI is used thoughtfully and responsibly. This means creating clear policies, setting up governance frameworks, and working together to define ethical guidelines for using AI in the workplace. HR can help set the standard for how AI should benefit companies while keeping fairness and inclusivity at the core. With the right approach, we can make sure that AI doesn’t just work for us—it works with us, in a way that’s ethical, transparent, and human-centered. #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #HR #HumanResources #Technology #Innovation #FutureOfWork #DigitalTransformation #AIinHR #HRTech #Automation #MachineLearning
