I wonder if there are real people or in Customer Services in Banking sector or just Human Robots. arent they allowed to talk in a little bit sympathy or show concern if you complain about them. or use words that can satisfy an angry customer. they are charging 1800 for Sms alerts. Sms are obsolete even OTPs are coming on whatsapp now. I told the CR that Naya pay offers app alerts and that is for free. and he said Naya pay to bus mobile wallet hey. If I compare NayaPay according to my use. They are better in terms of 1. Transperency 2. App interface 3. Transactional Data 4. Free ATM card 5. App alerts 6. Control on your Physical and Virtual Card to block and see charges seperatley for both when used. In short its way better than Meezan Bank Limited And these banks should increase their facilities. its a competitve market.

Do good products need a tutorial? Have we ever wondered why we found it so easy to use WhatsApp, Facebook, Careem but so incredibly difficult to use banking apps? I spent almost 2.5 years in B2B. Initially we too were confused between our systems, business lingo, compliances and our features to really understand what our user wanted from us. It took us time to figure out how to bridge that gap and even more time to start monetizing it while providing more value to the user. So why can't we apply the same shift to Fintech? At the moment, I believe that it's because there is a disconnect between internal systems and jargon VS what the user wants to do through a banking app. We need to find the sweet spot between complex systems and user needs. We need to design apps that are for people who just want to do get the job done without having to understand the internal system of the bank. #fintech #productdesign #UAE

About 2 months ago, when the RBI had barred a payments bank from undertaking any banking activities, we had an interesting problem to solve: Ensure users with this barred bank as their primary account on CRED UPI can continue seamless transactions. We had to figure out a way to: A. Guide users to link an alternative bank account B. Help users switch their primary account away from the barred bank Initially, we relied on traditional outreach methods: Push, WhatsApp, and Email. But one thing outperformed these channels by 4X: Communicating with the users when they were already on the app. ☑ Native card-like banners on the home-page, and ☑ Spotlighting features for account linking and primary account change via interstitials These dynamic experiences inside the app have become key to achieving growth in adoption, activation, and conversion rates for many consumer apps today. And the apps that can rapidly experiment and optimize user communication strategies will be the ones that win. How many Apps do you have on your phone? 📱 I recently did a manual count and found 52 apps installed, excluding the factory ones. Among these, I use 5 daily without fail: Whatsapp, Outlook, MS Teams, Banking app and ConnectAlarm. In the digital banking realm, a "super app" is crucial. This single point of entry with all critical products in one platform is a game-changer for users like me who hoard apps but barely use them (except when my daughter takes over for YouTube 🙃). Banking apps are primarily used for Bill Payments, P2P Payments, Balance Checking, Funds Transfer, Expense Tracking, Statement Requests, Digital Wallet, and Savings/Investment Tracking. In Pakistan the money transfer limit from mobile app varies bank to bank and most of the banks only allow funds transfer upto 0.5M/day and 0.5M additional via RAAST. Today one of my friend has to make a payment around 4M. Interestingly, he only uses debit card and digital banking and can only transfer 1M via mobile app performing multiple transactions of 250k each which he will be charged 200 PKR for each transaction as well. Now he's stuck in the moment. And obviously he's not the only one who's facing this. Seeing him helpless, a thought 🤔 came to my mind for the possibility of high-value digital payments. For instance, 1Bill allows vendor paymens irrespective of the amount and e-punjab app generates e-challan which are paid through mobile app and updates in real time. The idea 💡 is about the possibility that when a seller is selling an asset with heavy amount, he generates an e-voucher from his Bank's mobile app which can be paid digitally via 1Bill. After the payment the amount credits in the seller account instantly. This will encourage more digital transactions and reduce reliance on cash 💰 transactions. #banking #branchlessbanking #digitalbanking
