🌟 The Power of Giving: More Than Just Money 🌟 In the wake of the recent hurricane, countless families have been displaced, and our homeless population in America, which numbers approximately 653,104 individuals, faces even greater challenges with Thanksgiving and Christmas quickly approaching. It’s a stark reminder of the importance of coming together to support those in need. Giving isn’t just about donating money. It’s about offering your time, skills, and compassion. Here are some impactful ways you can make a difference: 🤝 Volunteer Your Time: Spend a few hours at a local shelter or food bank. Your presence can provide much-needed support and comfort. 🛠️ Share Your Skills: Whether it’s offering free haircuts, legal advice, or tutoring, your expertise can be invaluable to someone in need. 👕 Donate Goods: Clothing, blankets, and hygiene products are always in high demand. Check with local organizations to see what they need most. 📚 Provide Education: Share information about resources and services available to those affected. Knowledge is a powerful tool for recovery. 💬 Offer Emotional Support: Sometimes, a listening ear and a kind word can make all the difference. Reach out to those who might be struggling and let them know they are not alone. Together, we can create a ripple effect of kindness and support that extends far beyond financial contributions. Let’s show our community that we care in every way possible. 💖 Remember 12th of each month, I encourage everyone to reach out to someone you served with in the military, or you know who you have not spoken to in a while, whether through a phone call, text, email, or in person. And remember🙏🏼It is about God. ✨It is About Family. 👥🏘️ its about you and finding your tribe Ted Hacker Kristin Walt Caroline K.M. Smith Mark “Hurricane” H. SERVE AND SAVE LIFE CAMPAIGN : Supporting One Another in Love this December As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace." - 1 Peter 4:10 December is a time for giving, sharing, and showing love to those around us. As believers, we're called to support one another in prayer and in practical ways. Here are some ways you can support others this December: - Pray for one another*: Take time to lift up your friends, family, and community in prayer. Ask God to bless them, provide for their needs, and fill them with joy and peace. - Give generously*: Consider supporting those in need through financial gifts or donations to reputable organizations. - Volunteer your time*: Look for opportunities to serve others, whether it's at a local soup kitchen, nursing home, or community event. - Be present: Sometimes, all someone needs is someone to be present with them. Take time to visit with friends and family, and listen to their stories. Remember, supporting one another is not just a seasonal activity, but a biblical principle that should guide our lives throughout the year. As we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith." - Galatians 6:10 Let's come together to support one another in love and prayer this December! #SupportOneAnother #LoveInAction #PrayerAndGiving #DecemberOfLove
