Just to keep up with projected growth, Utah needs 80 HOUSING UNITS coming online EVERY DAY! That's not even taking into consideration the 30,000 housing unit gap we already have! And you wonder why affordability is a problem? So... how do we fix it!? What is the solution!? It certainly better not be creating cheaper and smaller boxes to cram more people into.... talk about a dystopian nightmare! More affordable housing DOES NOT need to mean ugly sprawling density! What we need is smart density that preserves open space, maximizes land use according to existing infrastructure, and allows for housing choice across communities!
