Are you a small business and want to know how to master content on social media in 2024...... Me too... Takeaways from a great session with Tom Robertson from V1 studios today! Here are my top 5 takeaways: ➡➡➡➡➡ 📣 1. Platforms are the new search engines. People will find you there more than google. Read that again. You need to be seen where your audience is. I have actually heard that twice in 24 hours. 📣 2. 80/20 rule. 80% is value 20% is promotion. To build an engaged community 80% of your content should be giving value. Stop selling all the time. 📣 3. Shares and saves are the biggest metrics to measure - don't obsess over the number of followers you have OBSESS over the engagement you have. 📣 4. Organic social media is hard - it won't happen overnight. Be consistent. 📣 5. You can't rinse and repeat. What works on Instagram can't be regurgitated for Tik Tok. You need to curate for different channels. Great tips - hopefully a few key takeaways for all the solo entrepreneurs out there slogging it out on your own! ....side note... if you are a lover of all things clean and sustainable beauty you can follow me on Instagram @onajicosmetics as we countdown to launch 🚀 👨🏽🚀 would love to hear your questions about clean beauty....I could talk about it all day long.... 💚

Have you been posting on social media without a plan? You’re an entrepreneur who scrambles for ideas, posts randomly, and nothing seems to fit together? I've been there. Until recently, I only posted on social media whenever I had time or when inspiration struck. My content was inconsistent, and my followers were probably confused. Some days/weeks, there were too many posts, and other times, there was radio silence on my profile.😄 Now, just like me, think about having a content calendar where each post is planned, well thought out, and sends the right message to your audience. Which would you choose? As an entrepreneur or a service provider, a content calendar is like a roadmap for your social media strategy. It's a simple tool that can change the game for your business, by turning random posts into a powerful strategy. It helps you plan your posts ahead of time so that everything is organized and consistent. If you have a team, it helps them work better. Everyone, from writers to designers, knows what’s coming, so there’s less confusion and friction. Also, a content calendar can help you track what works and what doesn’t, making it easier to improve your strategy over time. As a business wanting to grow its online presence, a content calendar is one of the vital keys to your success. To your success, cheers! #ContentMarketing #contentstrategy #contentcalendar #socialmediamarketing #socialmediamanager #socialmediastrategy #socialmediatips #entrepreneur

Post every day; it's just that simple. If we look at all the big entrepreneurs establishing their personal brands on social media, they are posting 1, 3, sometimes 5 times a day. Now, 5 might be a little extreme, but they are doing it for a reason. And we should probably take note. See, only a small percentage of your followers will see any of your new posts. By posting every day, you allow more of your followers a chance to see your content before the influx of new content swarms the platform. And probably the most important reason is finding content that works. I hear a lot from coaches that they don't know what type of content to post. The more you post, the more information you have to tell what type of posts your audience wants to see. If you want to know how to get even more leads from social media using content systems, comment 'audience' and I'll send it over.

To be honest, I simply don't like speaking in absolutes very often. Except for stating this one fact: "You can either be in the present moment or not." I've heard many creators say that only Instagram, LinkedIn, or Facebook is the best platform to get clients or grow a business. From my past four years of experience as a freelance SMM working with 25+ brands, I've learned that all these platforms have great potential to grow a business. However, the perfect platform for a business depends on where their target audience mostly spends their time. For a brand that sells handmade soaps, Instagram and Facebook would be great. For a professional who is a dating coach, Instagram and Facebook would be best. For a brand that sells Digital Marketing services, LinkedIn and Twitter would be best. Facebook can also work for them because many traditional businesses are on Facebook but not on LinkedIn. They might purchase their services to expand their biz. Now, how many platforms should you start with? There is no black and white answer to this as well. It depends on the human resources you have. If you have enough resources, you can start with 3-4 platforms. If you are a solopreneur, you can start with 1, 2, or 3, depending on what's sustainable for you and your business in the long run. PS: Hey! Purpose-driven? Let's connect! I help amplify impact, reach audiences, and save time with Social Media Marketing. Struggling on social media? Need a supportive community? Please STOP posting just to post! I see so many brands and entrepreneurs pushing out content on social media that adds little to no value, just to stay active. But here’s the reality: more posts don’t mean more growth. Instead of posting for the sake of it, try this: 1. Look back at your top-performing content. 2. Analyze what drove the most engagement, comments, or shares. 3. Repurpose and refine those winning posts. Here’s how: - Expand on ideas that resonated most with your audience. - Create new visuals or videos with a fresh take on the same topic. - Turn popular posts into a series, a carousel, or deeper content. - Use your success to refine and double down on your strategy. By focusing on what’s already working, you’ll see faster results, more engagement, and real community growth. Don’t waste time posting filler content. Quality beats quantity, every time. Do this for the next 60 days, and watch your organic growth take off!

🚫 #Entrepreneurs: Posting Without a Plan Could Be Hurting Your Business! 🚫 When you’re building a brand from scratch, it’s tempting to think that posting more means growing faster. But without a strategy, posting constantly could be holding you back. Here’s why winging it on social media isn’t helping: ❌ Mixed Messages = Confused Audience Your brand’s message should be crystal clear. Random posts with no consistent theme can leave your audience unsure of what you stand for, making your brand forgettable. ❌ Lost Time, Less Growth As an entrepreneur, you’re wearing many hats, and time is precious. Spending hours on posts that don’t align with a clear strategy is time you could be spending on high-impact tasks. ❌ Less Engagement = Reduced Reach Your followers are there for value, not noise. When they see random, unengaging content, they lose interest, and soon enough, so does the algorithm. So, what can you do to make your social media work for you? 🔥 Define Your Brand’s Unique Voice Think about what makes your brand special. Show this in your tone, visuals, and stories—consistently. This is what builds a loyal following. 🎯 Give Each Post a Purpose Every post should have a clear goal: educate, inspire, or engage. Be intentional about the story you’re telling and the response you want from your audience. 📈 Quality Beats Quantity A few high-value posts are more impactful than endless updates. Focus on content that brings value, sparks interaction, or solves a problem for your audience. Social media is an incredible tool for entrepreneurs—when used with purpose. Instead of just posting to stay active, think about how each post can contribute to your brand’s growth and your audience’s needs. Ready to make your posts count? Start small, stay consistent, and watch your engagement—and business—grow! 🌱 #EntrepreneurLife #SocialMediaStrategy #BrandBuilding #QualityContent
