I was honored to be the keynote speaker at the RMU Women's Leadership & Mentorship Program's 7th Annual Women and Transformational Leadership Symposium held at Robert Morris University. During my speech, I discussed why I believe women are both the sugar and the salt of the earth. We bring so much flavor and strength to everything we do! The statistics are clear: women are vastly underrepresented in leadership positions. This has to change! We offer diverse perspectives and essential skills across all industries. Because strength comes in numbers, let's celebrate women supporting women! Well, well, well...80% of C-Suite executives say they are still investing in DEI initiatives at their company with 44% saying they will ramp up their DEI initiatives or develop new ones.   This is just one of the encouraging insights from Chief's latest New Era of Leadership research. Chief  surveyed 600 C-Suite executives to identify the biggest challenges ahead and the skills needed to navigate them. Executives ranked navigating change quickly as their top leadership capability. These are just some of the 20 women who were appointed to civic boards and commissions through the Appointments Project in 2023. Women are often underrepresented in civic leadership positions, and we're trying to change that.
