October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a crucial time to highlight the impact of breast cancer on our communities, particularly among Black women. Statistics show that Black women are diagnosed with breast cancer at a younger age and often face more aggressive forms of the disease compared to other groups. It's vital to prioritize early detection through regular screenings and self-examinations, as this can significantly improve outcomes. We encourage everyone to learn about their risk factors, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and support one another in this journey. Let's come together to raise awareness, share resources, and empower our community. Together, we can make a difference. 💖 We are never giving up Hope. 🎀 #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #BlackWomen #EarlyDetection #NAAWLI

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it's especially important for Black women. Black women are 40% more likely to die from breast cancer due to later diagnoses and limited access to quality care. Regular screenings and early detection save lives, but many Black women face barriers. This month, let's raise awareness, educate on genetic risks, advocate for equitable healthcare, and support women in their fight against breast cancer. Together, we can close the gap and improve outcomes. #NCBWHealth #BlackWomenAndBreastCancer #BreastCancerAwareness #EarlyDetectionSavesLives #HealthEquity

i love that my #RTX coworkers support Breast Cancer Awareness. Here are some facts: In the United States, around 310,720 women are expected to be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2024. This is about 1 in 3 of all new female cancers each year. Here are some other breast cancer statistics: About 13% of women in the U.S. will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. The risk of breast cancer increases with age, from 0.49% at age 30 to 4.09% at age 70. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among women in the U.S., after lung cancer. For non-Hispanic Black women and Hispanic women, breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer death. #RTX #CollinsAerospace #BreastCancerAwareness #Overcomers

My amazing colleague Olia Bartley, MBA, PMP, ACP, CCMP and I proudly wore pink last week! This was totally unplanned, but it turned out to be a perfect show of support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer impacts so many lives, both directly and indirectly. Every day, women and men face the challenges of battling this disease, making it crucial for us to raise awareness and support those in the fight. Let’s take this month to honor all survivors, both men and women, and to remember those we’ve lost. Together, we can make a difference through awareness, education, and support. I’m happy to share my journey, and I’d love to hear your stories or how you’re contributing to this cause! #Survivor #BreastCancerAwareness #WearPink #TogetherWeCanMakeADifference #MaleWarriorsWelcome
