Dallas does everything big and the 12th Annual DFW Admin Awards is no exception. This year's program has broken all kinds of records including the largest number of nominations and largest number of attendees, exceeding pre pandemic numbers. We are on track to hit 640 attendees this year! That is some SERIOUS BIG LOVE for the region's extraordinary Administrative Professionals! And we're reminded that this would not be possible without Southwest Airlines, Robert Half, Marsh McLennan Agency, Stagen Leadership Academy, Toyota North America, LUMINI, Potter's House, Vizient, Inc, Bevi, Royal Catering and Beacon: The Platform for Forward-Thinking Administrative Professionals. There has been zero need to convince executives in DFW that showing up for their Administrative Professionals is important - they get it, nor has there been any need to convince area Administrators on the importance of showing up FOR public recognition and its importance in moving the profession forward. Day 11 of meeting the F&D Tech Solutions team! Here we have Craig Bowman, and what was said! "Craig is another newer member of the team and has fit right in as if he has been here with us from the start, he is so easy to get along with, laid back and nothing is too much trouble for him, always willing to get involved. He has shown so much involvement with the team already and we look forward to where the future will take him within F&D!" What lovely words about Craig! Now for his answers: 1. How long have you worked for F&D? I started with F&D at the beginning of July   2. Do you prefer Tea or Coffee? Decaff Coffee   3. Would you rather travel in the past or into the future? In the past so I can see my old man again.   4. Where is your favourite holiday destination and Why? Orlando, I have been multiple times when I was younger, now me and my wife are sharing the experience with our two amazing girls.   5. What is your favourite sport and who is your favourite team? I have 3 favourite sports really NFL - Los Angeles Chargers Baseball - Tampa Bay Rays Football - Southampton   6. Do you prefer Instagram, TikTok or Facebook? Don't really like any of them but I suppose TikTok just for comedy value.   7. What is your favourite thing to do of a weekend? My favourite thing to do is spend time with my wife and children going on days or weekends out.   8. What do you love most about your job? So in the little time I have been here, all of the people are very friendly and the work is varied on a daily basis.   9. If you can only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Pizza   10. Tell us something we don't know about yourself? I have played in a few major darts tournaments.

MAY: 4th - Kentucky Derby 5th - Cinco De Mayo 12th - Mother’s Day 18th - National Restaurant Show - Chicago 19th - PGA Championship - Louisville, KY 27th- Memorial Day NBA Playoffs NHL Playoffs MLB regular season Don’t forget to check your convention center calendars and arenas for noteable dates. Communicate with your distributor on usage spikes that might arise to avoid shortages. Get your special orders in. Sales people make sure to communicate any special cut off times or route details. Shape conversations around these events. This is a great way to show how you can take a consultative approach to serving the customer. Country Clubs and Pools are about to get rocking so make sure to be communicating with them about any specials or menu items you might get. Have a great May!
