"Should I pursue CompTIA A+ after 8+ years of IT experience?" Source: https://lnkd.in/gnGFkyK3 "Is CompTIA A+ Certification Still Valuable for IT Professionals with 8+ Years of Experience? #CompTIA #Certification #IT #Experience Considering Certifications After 8+ Years in IT New Entry-Level Job and Certification Goals After being unemployed for several months, I've landed a new entry-level job in IT. My goal this year is to acquire certifications, including Net+ and Sec+, possibly adding a systems analyst-specific one to my list. Revisiting CompTIA A+ Certification I previously held an A+ certification when I started my IT career, but it expired due to pursuing my Bachelor's in Information Systems. Now, with over 8 years of experience, I am contemplating whether it's worth pursuing the A+ certification again. Deciding Factors for A+ Certification Relevance of Exam Objectives to Current Skills Potential Employer Reimbursement Comparing A+ with Net+ Certification If my employer offers to pay for or reimburse the A+ certification, I am willing to pursue it. Otherwise, I am considering focusing on the Net+ certification to enhance my skills and credentials further."
