As the Albanese Government invests $16.5 billion in infrastructure to boost Australia’s productivity and sustainability, it's clear that building better roads is crucial. However, infrastructure alone won't solve our road safety crisis. Over 70% of road fatalities are due to driver error, and our driver training methods haven't changed in 50 years. At myDRIVESCHOOL®, we believe modernising driver education is essential. Our cutting-edge simulation technology offers a safe, engaging, and inclusive way to learn driving. Learners can practice real-world scenarios in a risk-free environment, improving decision-making, reaction times, and situational awareness. This not only builds confidence but also significantly reduces the chances of accidents. Awareness campaigns alone are not solving the problem, we must rethink how we train drivers. Let’s not just build better roads; let’s train better drivers. #RoadSafety #DriverEducation #Infrastructure #Innovation #myDRIVESCHOOL
One day Lisa the governments of Australia, local, state and the Feds along with vested interests will get the message. Sadly, however, whilst there are groups muddling the narrative with tangent arguments, and funding demands, the real problem will remain unsolved. The concept learning, doing and practice in a safe environment before hitting the road remains a tough sell. Everything now…oh and, let me make the mistakes, I will learn from them. Youngsters in particular think they are bulletproof…

7moDespite Bureau of Infrastructure Transport Regional Economics modelling that road trauma fatalities will increase by 20% by 2030 unless major interventions are considered, the Albanese Govt. continues to ignore the fact that 70-90% of fatalities are caused by driver error, and 'awareness campaigns' are not going to fix the problem. The only way to really tackle the road toll, is with education and training, improving skills/competency of drivers. Simulation training is used by Governments globally, aviation, maritime, mining & motorsport - with great success. Whilst Govt continue to mandate 50-120hours of supervised driving / training of minors by unqualified people, teenage fatality rates will continue to rise. myDRIVESCHOOL® #RoadSafetyMATTERS #Simulationtraining
