It's Check-In Tuesday! When a friend or family member appears to be struggling, stressed, unhappy, or angry, it is important to approach them with empathy & compassion. #MentalHealthMatters: By asking the right questions at the right time, you can help them open up & share their concerns. This will not only show that you care, but it will also allow you to better understand their situation & provide appropriate support. Remember that effective communication is key, so be sure to listen attentively & respond with understanding. Not sure how to start what might seem like a difficult conversation? Follow the ALEC principle by our friends, the leading charity changing the face of men's health, Movember: https://lnkd.in/eNb5Uiac 🌐 Photo: Yura Timoshenko #UnitedinDiversity #WeAreRoundTable

Happy World Health Day! Let's make a difference by taking concrete actions towards promoting health and well-being. Here are three impactful ways that you can make a difference: 1️⃣ Raise awareness: One of the most effective ways to tackle health issues is to spread awareness. Educating and empowering others through informative content and discussions can create a ripple effect of positive change. 2️⃣ Donate blood: Blood donation is a selfless act that can save lives. By scheduling an appointment at a local blood drive or donation center, you can become a lifesaver and provide a lifeline to someone in need. 3️⃣ Support health organisations: By supporting reputable charities and volunteering your time, you can contribute to the movement to improve global health. Together, we can make a lasting impact on public health worldwide. This World Health Day, let's unite as a community to promote health, well-being, and compassion. By taking these small yet impactful steps, we can work towards building a healthier and happier world. #AAXO #WorldHealthDay #HealthAwareness #PositiveChange #PromoteWellness

Making It Happen is a practice we've adopted from the very start, inspired by our founder Bob Macauley's can-do, must-do, and will-do attitude. That's how we help communities around the world achieve better health outcomes; it's how we hit the ground running in times of crisis. Our goal is to inspire you to do the same in your daily life. You can start today by making a donation to #Americares and support our health programs worldwide. What's one way you can #MakeItHappen this #GivingTuesday? https://lnkd.in/edJvyRPX

No more sleeps! #LonelinessAwarenessWeek starts today. The amazing charity Marmalade Trust launched this awareness week in 2017 and it has grown in momentum each year. This year the theme is ‘Random Acts of Connection’ encouraging everyone to increase those simple, everyday moments of connection which helps us and those around us feel happier and less lonely. Everyone can join in, it need not cost you a penny. It can be as simple as a chat in a queue, smiling at a neighbour, or signing up to a new activity or event. How about picking up the phone to a colleague instead of sending an email. The opportunities are endless. We all have the ability to make someone feel happier…what will you be doing today? #StrongerTogether #Loneliness #ItStartsToday #KeepItSimple

#SocialPrescribingDay – what is that I hear you ask? Social prescribing encourages individuals to engage with their local communities and build meaningful social connections. This can help combat social isolation and loneliness, which are significant risk factors for poor health. Social prescribing offers a person-centred approach to health and #wellbeing that acknowledges the interconnectedness of social, emotional, and physical aspects of health. By addressing social needs and fostering community connections, social prescribing has the potential to improve the quality of life and promote healthier, more resilient communities. Let's continue to foster collaboration between healthcare providers, charities, and communities to ensure everyone has access to the support they deserve. Together, we can make a difference! 💚💚 Think about your community, on or offline, can your organisation foster a social prescribing approach to welcome new members? GP surgeries around the UK can assign individuals #LinkWorkers. A Link Worker works closely with the local community to connect people to voluntary organisations, charities and groups. The fastest way to encourage positive energy to come back to you, to receive more abundance, is by sending out energy in the form of giving service. Identify a way you can give service sometime during the next few weeks. Make it your intention to engage in this behavior. It might be volunteering at a hospital or a soup kitchen on Thanksgiving, or finding some other local organization to donate time to. It could be joining or giving to a cause you believe in. Write it into your schedule. Found this post useful? Delve deeper with my Guided Self-Assessment to evaluate your stress management abilities and overall functionality.
