Martina Welkhoff’s Post

Lately I've been experimenting with time travel. Specifically, "episodic future thinking," which I learned from Jane McGonigal's book Imaginable is "the mental ability to transport yourself forward in time and pre-experience a future event." For the past couple of weeks, I've gathered with a small group of friends to spend some time imagining what our lives and the world might look like in 10 years. The exercise has been profoundly illuminating and creatively stimulating. I was sincerely surprised and perplexed by some aspects of my imagined future self, which has been fascinating to explore. If anyone is looking for a new framework for end of year reflection and thinking about what's ahead, I highly recommend this. I included a page from McGonigal's book below to provide more context. Thank you Denise Hearn for recommending this fantastic read!

I love this idea, especially for a leadership team. Like vision boarding but more tactical. Gonna pick up the book! Thanks and hope you are well! ❤️
