Techsauce, a driving force behind Thailand's technology ecosystem, hosted the "Bridging Thailand to Global Impact" event at the Conrad Bangkok Hotel, propelling Thailand onto the global stage. The event was presided over by Mr. Prasert Jantararuangtong, Minister of Digital Economy and Society. Ms. Oranuch (mimee) Lerdsuwankij, CEO & Co-Founder of Techsauce, unveiled the progress of the Tech Gateway project, which has seen collaboration with leading Thai organizations through the "4 THAI" strategy, comprising 7 Inbound and Outbound goals. The project aims to transform Thailand into a Tech Gateway, a gateway to significant change for the country in driving the economy and enabling Thai society to develop and create technology that benefits all sectors of society. In addition, Techsauce has secured an investment deal from depa that will support mutual operations and enhance efficiency. This partnership will serve as a key driver in further developing Thailand's digital startup ecosystem and the country's digital industry. The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, also joined forces to support Techsauce's Tech Gateway project. A Memorandum of Intent (MOI) was signed to promote and support Thai tech startups in expanding their markets overseas, stimulating the country's economy, and building the competitiveness of the tech startup service sector. The collaboration aims to create opportunities for both international trade and foreign investment. Techsauce announced the upcoming "Techsauce Global Summit 2024" under the theme "The World of Tomorrow With AI," continuing the legacy of Asia's largest cutting-edge technology festival. The summit will gather over 300 technology partners from the public and private sectors in Thailand and around the world, representing 40 countries. The main sponsors of the event are the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), Kasikorn Business-Technology Group (KBTG), and SCB X Public Company Limited (SCBX). This collaboration between the government and private sectors will play a crucial role in propelling Thailand's technological growth and driving economic progress simultaneously. It will attract investment from both domestic and international investors, transforming Thailand into a full-fledged technology investment hub, opening doors of opportunity for Thai SMEs and startups to grow their businesses on the global stage. The Cebu-based startups included XELEQT-AI, offering IoT (internet of things) and AI (artificial intelligence) solutions for logistics; Zplatz, a platform designed for scanning and creating digital models; Mata Technologies Inc, which provides virtual mapping tools for tourism; Farmtri, an AI-powered tool designed to empower farmers; and Prezenter, an app that simplifies presentations. Betterteem , representing Manila, focused on AI-driven solutions to predict and prevent employee attrition. The South Summit, held from Sept. 25 to 27, 2024, marked its first event in Asia. This global platform connects startups, investors and industry leaders to promote entrepreneurship, collaboration and investment, focusing on areas like deep tech, AI and digital transformation. Originally established in Madrid, Spain, the summit is known for its focus on emerging technologies, promoting global networking and creating spaces for deal-making and knowledge-sharing. The consensus: MENA is quickly becoming a leading heavyweight for tech. It’s not just capital, but also improving infrastructure and a culture of innovation. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Founded by Kelly Power and Sophie Louise Kjøller in 2023, Best Kept Shared aims to become the "Airbnb of luxury fashion."
