We're reminded of our crucial role in maintaining SAP as the leading cloud company, driven by our diverse talents and innovative spirit 💡 . His acknowledgment of our dedicated effort and visionary future strategies highlighted the unique blend of dedication and heritage that makes us stand out. His open and honest discussions on topics close to our hearts 💬 —AI, returning to the office, and board-level decision-making—exemplified the genuine leadership that guides us. I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the SAP Ecosystems Partner Day in Munich organized by Red Hat, where I had the privilege of moderating a panel with some of the top leaders in the SAP and technology space woth Ondrej Tejnecky, Sales Leader at IBM EMEA, SAP on IBM Power Systems and IBM, Marlene Beyer, SAP Alliance Lead at Deloitte Central Europe, Polenske Uwe, SAP Head Lead in S Team at Devoteam and Uwe Bohnhorst, Global Strategic Advisor at SEIDOR During our discussion, we explored key market trends surrounding SAP, including innovations in #cloud technologies, #IA, #digital #transformation, and the importance of leveraging the SAP #Partner #Ecosystem. We also addressed how partners are driving new opportunities for growth and collaboration across industries, and how technology solutions are evolving to meet the growing demands of today’s business landscape. It was truly an enriching experience to share the stage with such knowledgeable and insightful executives, each bringing unique perspectives on how our ecosystem can continue to innovate and thrive. Thriving Together: Insights from our leadership offsite in Budapest 🌟    This week, I attended the Technology & Innovation leadership offsite in the beautiful city of Budapest. With 1700 talented employees representing more than 40 nations, Budapest is a fantastic location with its diverse community, hospitality, and amazing spirit.   Across our product portfolio, we aligned with the SAP Product Engineering leadership team, who were also in Budapest for their offsite. Our agenda spanned the breadth of our aspirations and the depth of our challenges. We had joint sessions on common topics and smaller discussions on specific matters in our teams.    I was particularly inspired by the collaborative spirit of the entire team. Our joint sessions offered a deep dive into their planning, and we had ample opportunities to get to know each other better. This collaboration paves the way for creating opportunities, sharing best practices, and closely aligning our product and technology priorities for the future.   Understanding and contributing feedback unites us in our mission to develop even better products and technology for our customers and partners. This offsite was a perfect example of One SAP, where we align as one team to bring our products to the next level and follow our strategic vision with #BTP and #CloudERP at the core. Thrilled to share that our team was invited to SAP Labs today for a knowledge sharing session! It was an incredible opportunity to learn from the experts and gain insights into the latest innovations in the field. GOODBYE SAP! 10 years after my first day at SAP and losing my car in one of these countless car parks in Walldorf and desperately calling my mom… 🚨 7 years after my first customer pitch, where I forgot to tell my surname due to nervousness and the CIO consistently called me Mr. Enrico… 🙆🏻♂️ 3 years after joining the Digital Hub MEE and founding the RISE Student Taskforce – SAP’s greatest Cloud ERP outbound engine and my heart project… ♥️ 1 year after being promoted as people manager for a highly talented team of unique characters – my biggest learning curve… ⭐️ 1 hour after my last official day at SAP and listening to James Blunt because of lovesickness…   When I entered the sacred halls of SAP in Walldorf in 2014, I looked like the exact definition of “virginity”. Several SAP years, fights, learnings and wins later, I should think about getting my first facial care products to smooth my wrinkles…   Thank you, SAP family, for accompanying a formative phase of my life. A big praise to the three managers, who gave me wings to unfold my strengths and creativity in the last years: Dr. Ramin Shariatmadari, Thomas Pickel and Frank Strack. You believed in me, placed trust in our teams and we achieved remarkable results. 🙏🏼   In July 2024, I will open a new chapter together with our SAP gold partner AGILITA. According to SAP’s strategy, I will support the partner to achieve more self-sufficiency in our partner-led territories. I am highly convinced that a strong partner ecosystem will be the foundation for staying ahead of competition.  As Head of Sales Development, I will support the S/4HANA Cloud market expansion in Germany and Switzerland. AGILITA increasingly focuses on a strong regional solidarity with SAP. 
Therefore, I am very pleased to open a new AGILITA location in Mannheim to stay in close proximity to Walldorf. 🚀   I wish you all the best!

LinkedIn Friends & Network, I have some exciting news to share, but first a little story ... When I was in college, we made a visit to SAP headquarters in Walldorf as part of the MIS class at European Business School. The brochures were silver (‘Functions in Detail’), the #technology was moving to client/server, but my friends and I left with a feeling that SAP was just a tiny bit too traditional for us. Boys and girls, how wrong we were! Many years later, amid an SAP #transformation program (see, there is a magnetic quality to SAP and its #innovation), I kept passing SAP Walldorf on A5 thinking that it would be great to work there - and this became reality in 1998. So began my 26-year career with SAP which brought my family to the US for what was supposed to be a 2-year assignment. Here we are, 22 years later, dual citizens, and deeply rooted in our (still) new home country. Life is never linear. From the early days in Service & Support, my time in Global IT, various #CIO and North America roles to – most recently – leading Customer Advisory in North America, there is one constant that weaves all experiences together: SAP’s people. The friendships and deep connections with colleagues from all parts of the globe, the comradery and trust that is baked into SAP’s #culture are truly remarkable. Some of the most innovative and creative minds walk the halls of SAP offices (and its Teams meetings). Customers solve the most sophisticated business problems with SAP, and it is rewarding to be part of those journeys. Industry-defining leaders like Bill McDermott, Robert Enslin, Jennifer Morgan, Christian Klein and so many more have provided North Stars for strategy, growth, and personal development over all these years - h/t to Lloyd Adams, DJ Paoni, Oliver Bussmann. At some point, however, all journeys come to an end. At the beginning of the year, I decided that it is time to do something very different. I will stay on until beginning of April to help with the transition. More news to share on future plans after a long family and travel break. Don’t touch that dial 😊. How was my first week at SAP? 🤔 Exceptional. I was lucky enough to kick-start my Talent Discovery journey by meeting our colleagues and respective leaders in person! 🚀 Prague hosted an event where we had several opportunities to network and brainstorm together. Here are the key takeaways for me as a newcomer in Talent Discovery: 💡 Unlimited support to step out of my comfort zone. 💡 Giving and receiving feedback is key - not only to candidates, but also to my colleagues and leaders. 💡 Positive mindset and approach is essential for building and living the company culture we all create. 💡 Not only accepting the continuously changing environment, but also driving the change myself. 💡 Being an advocate of innovation helps everyone bring out their best. Some of the points might seem obvious and simple but how many times do you reflect on them yourselves? Cannot wait to explore the SAP culture further and help discover new talents! #LifeAtSAP
